It’s time to take the training wheels off on offense

Just last week PostGameOrangeSlices became the 6th person ever to be banned from Hardcore Husky. And now he's contributing an article. What's the world coming to?

I am sure a local community college offers English 101.

I thought it was good. I agree with it too. I think the plan has been to be somewhat conservative, keep Miles healthy, and put a premium on taking care of the ball. I am concerned about whether Petersen an Smith are going to be stubborn and insist on Miles fitting in their offense and not utilizing Miles strengths.
The only part I disagree with is saying we have three other 4* QB's if Miles goes down. It's true, but the high school rankings are irrelevant. There is nothing to suggest any of them are any good. We have seen Lindquist and Williams couldn't beat him out.
Called QB runs, fly sweeps, and options should all be utilized to give the run game a spark when needed, and against Stanford, it was certainly needed. It was bland, it wasn't working, and they tried to pass too often in the 2nd half against Stanford. -
I'm hearing Chris Ault is tan, rested & ready to be an OC.

I like this idea a lot.GrundleStiltzkin said:I'm hearing Chris Ault is tan, rested & ready to be an OC.
Miles could be a poor mans Kap -
It looks like PGOS has said, "No More Task Force Smiths".

Hand Miles the grenades and tell him to run out of the trench and blow up the enemy tanks.koopdog said:It looks like PGOS has said, "No More Task Force Smiths".
Or die trying.
Either way, 12s will be happy. -

Time to go 1999 Neuheisel on this offense. When Neu ( I call him that, because it's like I know him because I hear him on the radio) realized that Tui (I call him that because it's like I know him because I have his jersey) couldn't move the team consistently passing to a bunch of Lambo's ( I call him that because I hate to call him bright) slow white guys who were tuff, it was triple option here we come. Bring back Pat Conniff.

I think what post game is saying is that Mr. Smith should still be in Montana.

Downvoted for misspelling Cuogs.

LOL'd.
I may trade insults with other poasters on this bored, but I never take it seriously. It's more humorous than anything...and at least you can insult and call others fucking stupid on this board without getting a "time out" like a toddler.
I can see how some find it annoying, though.

I wasn't trying to be a jerk. I think you were pointing out that J Smith hasn't been very creative.
I am not the biggest fan of Smith thus far.
Jesus you are sensitive. You laid out some solid points. RELAX

If you are are serious, I think it would be tough to go to an option offense. There is great skill in running it from the QB position as it requires incredible instincts and decision making.Alexis said:Time to go 1999 Neuheisel on this offense. Tui was a master of it, and he also posed as a vertical passing threat. I will never forget he had a perfectly designed option fake and hit Gerald Harris deep for a TD against Colorado. It was unreal.
I am not certain Miles could run it and would be quite an undertaking to rewrite the offense.
But being 112th in passing and 96th in the country in total offense a rewrite could be in order.
The playbook will be chopped in half that is certain.

I wasn't sure what the intention of your poast was, considering your english 101 comment.jecornel said:I wasn't trying to be a jerk. I think you were pointing out that J Smith hasn't been very creative.

I am relaxed. You can talk shit and be relaxed at the same time brahseph, this is the internet. -
Except if you listened to Petersen this week, it sounds like we already took the training wheels off and he wants to put them back on. MilesFS.

Just throw the freshman out there and tell him to throw fake interceptions.
