LIPO mode. I'm a Meh Dawg
I'm intrigued by Fisch but my enthusiasm isn't where it was five weeks ago. Could change by September.

All the bullshit around how we played in the championship game and the drama of Boner leaving (and how he left) kinda took the wind outta my sails. Haven't got back the passion for CFB quite yet.

Fisch has me excited. I'm still a Posi-Dawg
Fisch seems like the right guy to lead us into this new era. I was legit ready to walk away a month ago, but he’s won me over. I’m dooging until he gives me reason not to

Unlike Wilner, who thinks UW will finish 11th in the B1G, I think they will do better than that. All depends on the spring portal carousel though. Without an offensive line, it will be hard. And ugly.

I wouldn't say "meh" but definitely lipo.

Was going to be a transition year anyway and it will be until it’s not. I just want evidence that 2025 will be speshul

Back to being a NegaDawg
My outlook is more a reflection of the sport than the program, this endless free agency sucks. The money crept in and pushed all the tradition out

Must be exhausting.

you can thank Oregon for quite a bit of that.

exactly this, how are we supposed to buy into a product that ceaselessly pushes some backwater meth-den as its prominent west-coast chapter? This is not my beautiful house, this is not my beautiful wife

the crowned prince issues involved in NIL and the already over the top fawning over 18-22 year old in many cases narcissistic god creatures has created massive identity issues for sports fans
Not to mention all of the movement creating continuity disorders which disrupts chemistry and player development while destroying team unity
couple that with the evolving roulette issues of TV revenue league issues and this has turned into a survival reality show with gladiator overtones… hopefully you like that kinda shit.
other than that, all of this is lovely and just how you like it -

If Posi-LIPO was a category, I'd be all up in it. They aren't mutually exclusive. I'd argue LIPO and "Meh" are mutually exclusive and shouldn't be grouped together.
I am a Fischerman thus far, but it doesn't mean fuck all until the leaves begin to turn orange.

Its hard to be posi when best case scenario ends with your entire team being gutted and searching for answers.

Closer to Posi than Nega and voting Meh is too indecisive.

The big knock on UW football was the AD wasn't interested in doing what it took to win and win on a big level, West coast football is dead, can't compete with the south, FireCohen, etc... We heard and believed it all here.
Along comes a mercenary coach that has a network and a history of winning, and he convinces the AD to anti up and keep the talent in place to make a run at the Natty, and low and behold we have the best season arguably in 30years and are playing for the Natty after beating Oregon multiple times and Sarks Longhorns.
We saw in very quick order what kind of resources we have available and the commitment of the UW to winning. Oregon and Nike like to flash $ and commitment to football, alas, UW had something to say....History is on our side too, along with the right now, so fuck off
UW didn't go out and hire an up and coming OC and cobble together a coaching staff with possible potential. Programs not serious about football do that(UCLA). Enter Jed and his staff along with next level talented legacy coaches. Another mercenary coach looking to win big and swing his dick around, he might be assembling a staff that is built on winning and could potentially parlay it into an NFL career, but for now, UW will reap the benefits in the short term and plan on getting the program to an elite level where only top coaches and players want to go
TLDR version, I am always negadoog, however, not this tim

Wearing my chest waders to the Montana game.

No, it's just the belief that team projections are baseless, that football is meaningless, that understanding the situation is impossible, and that the being a fan is meaningless or pointless. You can still watch the game though.

David Woods thought the DeBoer hire was great before the 2022 season, thinks that Fisch at UW is a sure thing and hates UCLA for not firing Chip and going after him in December.

i believe in nothing and feel nothing, we are in a post-college football reality

If the staff can tamper there way to a competent OL this spring and find a War Daddy DT on the Roster or in the Portal then I'm in, on the staff.

Somewhat agree, haven't seen the AD/uppercampus this interested in winning in my lifetime. Lots of institutional advantages built in that could finally be brought to bear, even more so in this premier league Era.
That said, so many "good" coaches end up never doing shit. Petermen being a fine example of a six year plan to lose a rosebowl.
Lipo undefeated.

I'm LIPO but overall positive. The AD and Pres seem to be serious about football for the first time in forever. This year might be a little rough, but I really like everything I've heard from Fisch and think we'll recover quickly.

I was out. Ready to take a long walk for perspective and distance myself from football. Fish reeled me back in. He seems like he will be the guy to energize the NIL portion of the program. I think coach will shake as many trees as is necessary to build the financial portion of this program. If he’s here three years, refills the roster, makes a playoff or two and sets things up for the next guy I’ll be very happy. I think he’ll do it before moving on. I won’t get blindsided by Fish when he leaves. My eyes are wide open this time.

I think the offense will be pretty good this year. I think Fisch can recruit and if I'm Oregon or USC I'm disappointed that UW hired him because he actually knows what he's doing and the staff looks better than expected.
UW got into the B1G when it mattered and had two awesome seasons. We're the only program out West to get to the CFP in the last 7-8 years.
It's obvious this is a winning program with championship potential. It's actually a good time to be a Dawg.
