Holy shit. I was about -3 months old when these bearded children hit the big time. Dad and I saw one of them sitting on a bench in Sun Valley on a trip about 14 years after that. Don't remember which one. It could have been Billy and it could have been Dusty. No idea. They kinda look alike in a way. We eventually went to Craters of the Moon, Silver City (looked thousands of feet down from the passenger window), played 36 holes of mini golf in Boise, etc. We also went to a place where we could sling atlatls like native Idahoans hunting birds. I didn't get a bird but I had a lot of fun I think. I also remember Schwieitzer and watching Dante's Peak being filmed in Wallace from a hotel window a few weeks ago. Dust everywhere. Yeah, I seen shit.

I was actually 10-11. I know this now because Dante's Peak was released in 97.

Won't post vids of them, but two opening acts at live shows chosen by my then fiancé, now wife of almost 30 years, blew me away back in 1995-96. She liked Crowded House a lot, so we went to the Paramount and a little known lady named Sheryl Crow opened for them with a highly experienced and skilled band backing her up. Stole the Fucking Show. Can't recall hanging around for the whole Crowded House show, as they acted and sang like wimps compared to Crow's gritty, outstanding performance.
Next went to see another of my then fiancé's faves at the time, a band called Belly at the Moore Theater. The opening act was Cathryn Wheel, and once again, the opening act blew the headliners off the stage. Unlike Crow, I'd heard some CW stuff prior to their concert, but shortly thereafter went out and bought all their CDs, which I still have and play today. Black Metallic live was one of the best 9+ minute renditions I've ever seen.
I won't bore you with the greatest live show I ever saw, which was Prince at the Coliseum in 1988.

Catherine Wheel is a great band. The lead singer is like the cousin of Bruce Dickinson.
-
Catherine Wheel with Tanya Donelly, lead singer of Belly.
Live is better. Good Chit.

And since I brought it up. Black Metallic, Live.
Hope you've got the time. It's longggggg.
