Lines up with Pete Carroll. Short QBs and tall CBs.haie said:
Maybe I'm misremembering this but I thought Fisch was the coach that was talked about on Twitter that has hard requirements for measurables for most positions. Absolutely will not waiver on that and one of the reasons he turned Arizona around fast.CallMeBigErn said:It's possible the coaches think all these players suck. Hard to answer these questions until after the spring portal.

Huff's ability to teach pass blocking is proven. Always struggled with run blocking. The last few years the OL makes every team with a halfway decent DL look like the '85 Bears

ASU showed that even in pass rushing you flood the middle. That's not exactly a secret but still Michigan used that blueprint well.
The surprise is why Texas and Oregon let Penix go off 5 times when the scrappy devils shut him down twice
Damn near went 0-2 -
So goodridance to Nick Harris jr?RaceBannon said:ASU showed that even in pass rushing you flood the middle. That's not exactly a secret but still Michigan used that blueprint well.

I saw some highlights from the Sugar Bowl and Texas got pressure up the middle but Penix sidestepped it. Not sure why he wasn’t able to do so against Michigan but I guess Michigan had pressure up the middle AND brought heat from the edge at the same time.RaceBannon said:ASU showed that even in pass rushing you flood the middle. Michigan had a better scheme in the secondary, so Penix had to hold the ball longerCFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

Look at his time in the pocket between Texas and Michigan -
Not having Dillon Johnson in there to block made things all the more perilousCFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

Any update on visitors this weekend? @bananasnblondes

I really dont think this was a pocket, time, or ELITE coverage issue, it was a Penix issue... UW had guys running open on multiple busted plays.whatshouldicareabout said:

UT Penix was a NFL QB that was throwing fucking top NFL QB lasers. The TD where Penix split the two high safeties for a 35 yard TD with a bullet right down the middle of the field was a NFL playoff highlight throw.
Michigan Penix was missing Rome on a blown coverage by 15 yards. -
Did we not have a single guy portal or transfer in today?
Didn't realize college football would be so boring -
Ward visiting this weekend

Where is Prysock?
-
Better secondary too.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:

He'd be a great get as he'd be a RS-Soph in 2024. With losing Carter to Alabama, hopefully the staff loads gets 2 or 3 Edges in the 2025 so that they can redshirt guys. Ideally the Babalavu guy withdraws from the portal too.Neighbor2972 said:Ward visiting this weekend

Someone made a comment somewhere on HH about Fisch having measurables he uses to identify and target recruits.
After reading that, I found this tweet interesting.

It will be interesting to see who we end up with after this weekend. Right now the trend seems to be that Zona is holding on to their Muhammads and Rosengartens while we're taking their Elijah Jacksons and Kalepos

tweets not embedding Stalin…

Prysock and the other DB whose in the portal, whose not yet made mention of visiting to my knowledge, would be quality starters coupled with Banks.
Ward seems like a starter and could’ve been our DE2 last year.
LB from sjsu visiting and no clue about him but he’s not your mentioned UA guys.
I hope we’ll get 3-4 more dudes from them. Biggest issue right now is none of their OL or DL are coming this way. -
our defense could actually be better than last year depending on how the portaling finishes. Eddie, trice and tuli right now are the big holes.
Ward and either Prysock and Davis depending on who may transfer in could all be upgrades over what we currently have on the roster. Interior DLine is the biggest unknown right now.

doog it up brother

Not too surprising. Gotta keep recruiting him. He's a must.
