I don't think "leaving the cupboard full" is a thing anymore.

Anytime the coach leaves, outside of retirement or jumping to the NFL, the cupboard goes with him/gets raided.

The old he sucks at coaching but left the roster stacked for the next guy days are done.

Am I the only one that thinks of swaye amd the Indian in the cupboard each time someone mentions an empty cupboard?

Depends on the circumstance. Saban left a pretty fucking well stocked cupboard for the State Farm guy.

What about bringing in a coach to "clean up the program" so the next coach can come in and actually win?

That happens. Even recently. Snyder. KSU. It is generally not wise to take absolute positions. Many situations are unique. Outcomes can be unique and unpredictable. LIPO is smarter and wiser than it’s simple notion implies.

Sounds like a slam dunk hire. Until Bama fan and Finebaum start the nitpicking 24/7/365. 90-11 is going to have immediate success because Bama is loaded. But as his recruiting shortcomings start to rise to the top, he's not beating more talented well coached teams like UGA and LSU.

Those Bama classes under Saban didn't happen w/o the 365 grind by Saban and his staff. You can read the stories from his former assistants. But 90-11 is a smart guy, he's gonna split for the NFL before his shortcoming in the recruiting game catches up with him. See his recent history.

Most annoying, un-insightful and irrelevant voice on College Football ever. I cannot stand that mouthy piss-ant and just want to smash his nerdy glasses into his face every time I see him on TV.

Reminds me of Kim, but after a severe illness where he loses his hair, his chocolate milk belly and his eyesight. FTG
