Holy shit, they played all those schools for money. What a fkn clown show. Poor poor Texas, you are in for it. Granted, he's not at full villain level as Bama's new clown.

Football coach Steve Sarkisian has agreed to a four-year contract extension with Texas through 2030, the school announced Saturday.

Financial terms of the deal, which must be approved by the school's Board of Regents, were not released. Sarkisian's initial contract paid him nearly $6 million in 2023, and it's expected his new deal will push him closer to $10 million annually and among the top-paid coaches in the country.

The extension comes a day after Sarkisian reaffirmed his commitments to the Longhorns on social media after being linked to Alabama's high-profile vacancy.

Fuck that agent. He has way too much fucking power. He’s basically holding all these schools at gunpoint

It is bordering on…help me out attorneys of HH (@creepycoug, @LawDawg1) - Sherman Antitrust Act territory?!?

It’s such a Bama move, pick your coach while also in the process financially weaken all your competitors.

    Incredibly played.

I doubt there’s a legal angle but would love to see it attempted.

I can't speak towards ncaaf/coaches but nfl players are capped at 3 percent and nba players capped at 4 percent

I can't believe that ncaa goes so far as to 12-20

I heard in a few different youtube vids that Sark scripts most of his plays - basically his entire offensive game-plan is scripted. It's why he loses so many games in the 4th Q and doesn't adapt to the opponent very well, everywhere he goes. Go up 14 points on his teams, and he's like a fish out of water, or a dry-docked cutty.

The NFL has a far more competitive structure in place than CFB. CFB is a professional league, but trying to lie to us all and pretend it isn't a professional league.

This shit is starting to look like MLB where you have 5 franchise who can spend and get the best players ever year and the rest of the league tries to cobble together a get-to-the-playoffs-every-5-years roster for one narrow shot to win it all.

jimmy sexton is great at what he does, with both his cfb and nfl clients.

I promise you we will all have big belly laughs when fats leaves for the vikings or packers in four years when that job comes open.

Yup. I don’t know if this is still the case as I don’t follow baseball all that closely, but the sports’ popularity has dwindled with each generation as a result (though, in my five second Google research it looks attendance is up).

We’ve discussed on this board ad nauseam about CFB’s shrinking influence/popularity and reasons behind it, but this is just another thing to add to the pile.
