Sounds like Dannen brought Deboer an $8.5 million offer last month. He and Sexton wanted to wait to see if he won a national title. It didn’t sit well with the administration but they came back later with a $9.5 million dollar offer and they didn’t sign this. Softy also had a friend who interviewed to be on the football or training staff and Deboer straight up told him he would only leave UW for the NFL or Bama. What fucking timing. Sounds like there wasn’t anything anyone could do. He was going to turn down every offer they came with likely.
