Grubb doesn't have a coaching tree since he's been under DeBoer his entire career. He couldn't fill his staff with a good pool of assistants unless we really open up the checkbook. Lake had the same issue which is why he had to hire Don Jon. No one else wanted the job.

Never hire a coordinator. Hire someone who's been an FBS coach and had success
