It's like Miley is a putter. Sure some guys can make a lucky 81 footer. But can they make short putts consistently? Yeah bet you haven't thought about it like that before.

the fact that we've seen Pete work with odd-style qb's with limited skill sets in the past gives me a reason to keep watching, but I am concerned with the lack of a starting running back, a pretty bad o-line, no TE and, about all those long and tall WRs Sark allegedly recruited... where are they?

Are you saying Miley is literally a putter, or a golfer who is putting?allpurpleallgold said:It's like Miley is a putter. Sure some guys can make a lucky 81 footer. But can they make short putts consistently? Yeah bet you haven't thought about it like that before.
Petersen brought in Lundquist for the 81 footer. He missed too. -
If someone throws in the towel on Miles now, would you be willing to let them back on the bandwagon if he improves?DerekJohnson said:and I've changed my mind and have decided to not throw in the towel with Miles quite yet. For the rest of the season, I am going to gauge the progress or regression of Miles as the primary bellwether, along with the win-loss record, for how Petersen is doing this year.
You're judging on progress AND wins. Abundance.
What I hear you saying is if Miles plays a shitty game and at the end throws a crappy pass, bounces it off a defenders helmet into the arms of Mickens for the winning score, you're going to treat that as a bad golfer who got a lucky birdie and eventually the wins will reflect his ability? -
I think you know that I'm not saying that.

If you have a buried lie and blast out to 20 feet and sink the putt was it lucky or good?

One play NEVER decides a game. One golf shot NEVER decides a match (or whatever that faggotty non sport calls its events).
Seriously, enough of the terrible golf ANALogies - you fucking @sshat.
A single poaster doing one stupid fucking thing, over and over and over and over and over does not become a HardCoreHusky insider favorite.
It makes you look like PLSS or PGOS.
Now, there's your fucking abundance. -
That's my point. I'm not surprised that some of you are surprised this fag missed it.EwaDawg said:One play NEVER decides a game. One golf shot NEVER decides a match (or whatever that faggotty non sport calls its events).

If you miss the fairway you can still get back in the hole

In yesterday's golf analogy, @Homebrew_Dawg wanted to chip from the green. Sounds to me like he wants to get rid of the putter and go full Tin Cup with the 7-iron, which of course is Shaq Thompson.

Yesterday's analogy was weather related due to Pullman in late November. In 2000, Phil Mickelson chipped in with hail stones on the green:Dardanus said:In yesterday's golf analogy, @Homebrew_Dawg wanted to chip from the green. Wish we had a QB as versatile as Mickelson is with wedges and putters in his hands. -
-
Miles is a pitching wedge or sand wedge, just get the ball close and let the putter (rbs) put it in the hole. Putting is too fucking hard to apply to Cyler.

Got Bushwood?RaceBannon said: -
Miles is going to at least play the first half of the Kal game (because I said so) and Petersen will reassess then.
Lindquist looks like a very good athlete with a strong arm playing QB (kind of like a poor man's college Locker because Locker was an unbelievable athlete) but we need a natural QB who happens to be a very good athlete with a strong arm.
I don't know much about Williams. In the brief times I've seen him, he was moist with potential but the game was still pretty fast for him. Does anyone happen to know if he'd get the next shot if Miles stinks it up versus Kal's leaky pipes defense? -
I don't care if you're putting from the rough
