Who would you want to hire if DeBoer leaves?

Grubb?
Campbell?
Fisch?
Chip Kelly?

I got an unpleasant feeling with how much they've featured Grubb in recent pre-game hype videos like they're trying to sell the fanbase on him being the next coach. In reality:

Grubb (but no, we've done this three times and it's not gone well)
Fisch (and bring Fifita, McMillan, and RB Coleman if he has eligibility)
    Kirby Moore
D'Anton Lynn (unless he's trapped at USC)
    Rhett Lashlee
    Jeff Brohm
    Jeff Hafley

    I'm out of depressed energy.

The only thing DeBoer has publicly said about contract negotiations is that Dannen is doing everything he can and he really appreciates that. The guy wants to win multiple national championships, maybe that happens at UW, but it's guaranteed at Alabama.

I'm not usually a doomer, but I think he's gone.

I like Fisch best of that list. Not sure who else at this point but Fisch would be very high on my list.

I'm not convinced that Alabama would even offer him, but I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't scare me. I don't really see anyone turning that job down, despite what everyone says about the difficulties in "following a legend". No coach worth a shit is concerned about that. Any great coach is confident and egotistical to the point of being blind to the idea of failure.

But, he was in the NAIA 4 years ago. He's had a miracle run here for 2 seasons, but there's not a lot of division 1 success for a program like Alabama and, if I'm not a Husky fan, I have to wonder how much of this run was Deboer vs. how much was Penix.

Maybe its just wishful thinking, but, if I'm an Alabama fan I still think Deboer is small time compared to what we should have. Because if they legit offer him, I think he takes it.

DeBoer was just removed from the betting options. He's gone.

Frankly, success has made this board boring anyway.

    Grubb Hub = Helf 2.0

As for DeBoner, what's the sausage scene like in Bama? Looking at that fleshy, ruddy face, you can tell he is dying to get out of this skinny latte & lox culinary hellhole and take his talents to someplace where beer & brats are considered the only two food groups.

deboer is a killer coach but I think they would like a strong fit with their booster community and someone who understands the southern highways and byways.

Plus, just 3 years as a d1 hc.

I do think he would listen extremely closely and a big part of him would be ready to jump.

I think Grubb could easily be worse than Helf if nothing else because Helf got to return Mariota and a bunch of other big pieces and Grubb would take over a team in instant rebuild mode.

It is not guaranteed at Bama. At all.

They will not be patient and winning a natty is the standard and it is fucking hard to do.

Wilcox would probably be here for more than 2 years and we’d be bowl eligible most years.

There's a pretty handsome Cuban in Sowfbeech who is truly tanned, maybe rested and ready to rumble for the Dwags! Guy can recruit, talk black beans and rice with the Prez, and brings a Rose Bowl pedigree with him.

    Have a look.

I agree. They sucked between Stallings and Saban AND the GOAT goat fucked any semblance of rational expectations. Thing is, DeBoer has been only operating in rare air. I don’t think crazy expectations shake him an iota.
