Penix definitely no showed and it'll haunt him/us for the rest of our miserable lives, but I don't know where this exaltation of Heisman winners is coming from. The trophy is carved with names of far less clutch quarterbacks.FreeChavez said:
Heisman trophy guys make adjustments and most definitely make wide open throws multiple times in big moments. We can all admit that Penix has been amazing and blew the game tonight. This isn’t dawgman, we’re good being honest at the reality of the game. Penix no showedPostGameOrangeSlices said:
Penix won this program its first big game since 2001 by lighting up 12-1 Texas in New Orleans.FreeChavez said:
People have to be honest, coaches put our players in a great place to succeed. Penix lost the game tonight, not coaches. If anyone watched that game they saw great calls for most of the game and Penix just missing passes he didn’t miss against Texas.CuntWaffle said:He’s 25-3 with a Pac-12 title, Sugar Bowl win, 3 wins over top 10 Oregon teams in a row, like 8-1 against ranked opponents or something, and a retarded record as the underdog.
I get the instant anger after the loss but anyone who isn’t thrilled what he’s done in 2 years coming off the lowest point of the program since 08 are fucking mouth breathers. Legit retarded fans.
Sucks to say but in the big light, Penix struggled.
Put some fucking respect on this mans name. He wasn't great tonight, but the coaching staff didn't adjust at all to take some heat off him.
He had no running game. None at all. And bad pass pro.
DIAFF with these stupid fucking takes.
Jayden Daniels was a stat stuffer who never won shit.
Caleb Williams left a legacy of whiny crumbling who lost to Utah twice and then blew it against Tulane.
Kyler Murray was a midget who got bounced from the semi-finals.
Baker Mayfield was a midget who got bounced from the semi-finals. -
He apologized for losing the game in his presser. Grubb and him did a poor job preparing for Michigan's pressures packages and didn't instill any confidence for Mike early. Whatever this sucks, learn from and grow from it. Some NFL experience on this staff would be nice going forward. Proud of the defense for keeping us in it.

John Donovan had NFL experience.backthepack said:He apologized for losing the game in his presser. The few Michigan fans I spoke to are all dreading Moore getting the HC job.GreenRiverGatorz said:
I think Michigan is more than happy to go the Jimmy Lake route and hand the reins to Sharron Moore. Harbaugh has all but officially endorsed him as the next head coach. Would be an odd look to pass him over for the coach they just steamrolled in the natty game.CrispyEaterson said:So help me fucking god if he goes to Michigan.

As they should, the high watermark of that kind of internal move is, what, Ryan Day?BleachedAnusDawg said:

But when the natty winning Michigan Man coach who leaves on top says he wants Moore for the job, Moore is who you get. -
Penix didn't play well. Our guards were not good and got beat too much which forced hurried throws. Still could have been closer than it was if bpe played better. When you get this far, if you don't play well you will likely lose.backthepack said:He apologized for losing the game in his presser. If they pass protect a little better culp scores on a seam route and we are playing for a field goal to go ahead in the 4th. But we didn't. And winners win because that's what winners do. Tip of the cap to Michigan. -
Larry Coker maybe. Though it never ages well after 2-3 years.GreenRiverGatorz said:

Not a whole lot Mike (or Patrick Mahomes or any other quarterback on the planet) can do when a good defense parks two safeties deep all game. DJ not being able to even threaten in the run game was my biggest concern all week and it’s what killed us. We didn’t need to run for 200, but just the ability to get 4-6 yards when we wanted to would’ve changed the game. The couple times we caught them in single high we took shots.
-
Wish they could have pulled it off but it didn't happen. But hey we were in the Natty! #2 is the first loser but isn't terrible.

I suppose my worrying would resurface once their internal hire fails/other teams catch up to their defense and they start sniffing around. But that might be in two years so we have thousands of things to freak out about before then.Kingdome_Urinals said:
Also, why would Michigan want a pass-happy coach. They are jacked to be a power running team again.wobidbus said:
I don’t think he would want Harbaugh’s sloppy seconds. I’m guessing he sees at as a personal mission to get UW back here, seeing how it’s proven it can be done, plus he has a good combination of resources and an upper campus that will mostly leave him to it.CrispyEaterson said:So help me fucking god if he goes to Michigan.
