It's probably too early to declare that he sucks. He was a true frosh in 2023. Ryan Day is scrambling to take the heat off and wants a veteran QB so that Keinholz can be backup as a RS-Frosh before starting as a RS-Soph (if he proves not to suck).

I think we're seeing fewer and fewer QBs who will end up being good who aren't ready as soon as they get their first shot. That said, he was playing against South Dakota competition last year so he might be a guy who needs more development. I think getting Mack instead of him in that class was a win though, even though it sucks Mack had to reclassify.

CJ Stroud was good the minute he took over as a RS Frosh. Keinholz looked unprepared in the bowl game. Not sure if that’s on him, the coaching staff or a combo of both. The center I think did an interview and said they barely practiced leading up to the game. They didn't use the alotted 14 or so practices your allowed. I believe him and would be furious if I traveled all that way as a fan.theknowledge said:
