Picking a fight with a D1 football player other than the kicker or punter is an extremely dumb thing to do. If you’re middle-aged, it’s down right insane.
They may not all be MMA quality scrappers, but they are plenty a load for the typical person. I had Eric Alozie on my IMA flag football and basketball teams a few years past his playing days, and a couple of dudes had to try. One situation took about 3/10ths of a second, the other one never got off the ground mercifully for the guy and it wound up a stare down where the guy all of a sudden got clarity about how to proceed. Alozie, you might remember, was a back-up QB. -
