32 year journey to RTD

What moments in Husky football standout over the last 30 years on the road to tomorrow?
I’ll go with, the 09 home game against Arizona where the ball bounced off of the WR heel and Foster intercepted it and returned it for a miracle TD to win the game.
Can’t wait for Deboer vs Sark II
What you got?

The first two Miami games

Those were epic, I went on a UW Miami mini cruise for the Whammy, top three road game Dawg experiences for me.RaceBannon said:The first two Miami games

Late 2015 gave inklings that we had a lot of pieces to play with it in 2016. I recall that 13 month period fairly fondly.
A lot of other memories I’m hoping are washed from the memory banks, starting tomorrow. -
70 to 21 changed the program
Some backsliding from 18 thru 21 but DeBoer beating #6 Oregon in Eugene last year made believing possible again -
2009 USC game. I’ve probably mentioned it before but I was in Afghanistan and watching on Armed Forces Network via a shitty satellite feed. I thought we? were back after that game.
Oddly enough, both Miami games and I watched the 2000 game on a shitty satellite feed on AFN but in Bosnia. Thought Rick was building a dynasty. -

That was an amazing moment, I feel lucky to have gone to Eugene last year and it may be number one on the road game experience list for me.RaceBannon said:70 to 21 changed the program

I had to watch that 09 game on an ESPN ticker in an Internet cafe. Painful way to watch a huge game.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:2009 USC game. That’s funny, I didn’t, but feel like two older cousins did that as an activity.LawDawg1 said:

…Bowdown, Go Dawgs!!!! -
Forever Pac-12 champs
Forever 4-team CFP Champs (on the line)
Not sure I could put the standouts in order but this year has surely brought what will be some lasting memories.
That said, I don't think in all my time as a Husky a game wrecked havoc on my nerves like the Pac-12 championship this year. From an hour before until well beyond the anxiety I had was off the charts.

The feed for the 09 game got so bad by the 4th quarter, I’d see the snap, the feed would freeze up for 2-3 seconds and then I’d see the end result of the play.RTD said:

Team was as calm and collected as you'll see a #25 be against a #6 with a 20 game home win streak. -
During the 44-6 win over Stanford, I was covering a Woodinville football game. During time outs and pauses in the action, referees and assistant coaches were rushing over to me to get updates on what was happening at Husky Stadium. That was a fun memory.

To waking up with my head in the toilet and my kid in the hospital. It was a great night!Postal91 said:Forever Pac-12 champs

The Whammy… I moved into McMahon that day. My first day at UW. Everybody was sitting in the common area watching the game.

For me, it’s 70-21. I got hammered on my way from Chehalis to Eugene(was not the driver), yelled at some guy in a Kenny Wheaton jersey as I walked in, and then jizzed in my pants for 3.5 hours. I ran around at halftime high fiving every UW fan I could find. It was the most fun I’ve had at a sporting event. I thoroughly enjoyed going to the Pac12 championship game that year, but nothing yet has topped that game. If we pop off and win a natty in 7 days, I’ll be there, and that will top them all.

The 2016 Pac12 championship isn’t necessarily memorable for the game itself for me. Mrs Nacho and I got a pitcher of beer midday while we waited on my brother to get to the hotel. Turned into a second pitcher by time he arrived and possibly a third before getting an Uber to the stadium.EsophagealFeces said:For me, it’s 70-21. Uber shows up and it’s a relative of @PurpleBaze driving a silver Prius. Mrs Nacho takes the front seat while my 6’-5” brother and I take the back. Neither of us can sit up straight.
At the stadium, we get to our seats in some club level which means beer and whiskey are easily and quickly attainable. Mrs Nacho decides it’s a good idea to double fist and gets a shot of whiskey with her 16oz beer. We probably have 6-8 beers each and she paces herself by getting the whiskey every other round.
Game ends, we try getting an Uber and none to be had so we start walking. The Niners stadium is in a business park wasteland with hardly anything nearby. The few hotels we walk by only allow registered guests after football games. We finally get an Uber and Mrs Nacho has the driver drop us off at a nightclub/casino kinda place a block from our hotel. We get food and more beer - I’m still doing fine and get a 24oz beer, Mrs Nacho follows suit. I get my beer and realize I didn’t need to supersize it and say I probably won’t finish this. Mrs Nacho laughs at me and calls me a girl. Food arrives, she’s so drunk that half of her food ends on the table, the floor and probably the table next to us. We finish and head back to our hotel. We’re scheduled for an early flight, 8 or 9 am.
About 5:30 I wake up to the beautiful sounds of Mrs Nacho heaving into the toilet. I check on her and she tells me to go on without her. I call the airline and reschedule to a letter flight. Mrs Nacho crawls back to the bed. I tell her I rescheduled to a noon flight. She doesn’t think she’ll be ready.
I get up a little later and wander to the lobby for coffee and breakfast. Passed a bunch of gloomy @BuffBuffPass and @RuffaloSoldier fans. I keep it Nebraska classy.
I bring some toast and coffee back to the room. Mrs Nacho sees it and goes straight back to the bathroom for dry heaving.
Finally get her up and moving and to the airport. She was operating at about 19% capacity and felt ready for food so we walked through the terminal looking at the options. She grunted when she saw Smash Burger. We ate and she improved to about 20% capacity. The vomitting phase had passed, she was gonna make it.
