Question about sizes of classes

As of 5 years ago or so, I thought schools were limited to signing 25 HS recruits. Is that accurate or am I as crazy as my husband says I am?

I ask because Georgia and Miami both signed more than 25.

    Bat shit.

They opened it up and I believe there isn’t a limit any longer.

Correct. The two year pause on the limit was made permanent.

I hear 247 says CU has 54 - 3*'s in this class alone.

Yes, 25 is the max. The kids that enroll during this academic year can either be counted towards the 2024 class that that are in, or for the 2023 class (they are enrolled in the same year as last years recruits is the logic). So coaches have a lot of flexibility with the numbers. Transfers don’t count towards the 25.

Yeah, it’s possible, but there’s very little motivation to do it anymore.

I like that for the moment college football is way more free market than the NFL

I'm sure more "improvements" are on the way to fix the last improvements

as soon as NCAA saw how much money was getting funneled to the players they were like we want a cut of that shit
