His dad responding to SubK posting his son's shitty PFF rating
He could have played as a true freshman if he was good enough.
Unfortunately the difference between Washington and Georgia may be the loss of these two Line players and Latu
His dad makes a good point. Oregon was the right choice if he wanted to start by his 2nd year.

I’ll admit he’s better than I thought he would be

Weird response and even responding to this shit reads like there might be issues in the family about the choice. Pretty easy to say UW was coming out of the Jimmy era and Deboer was a complete unknown and Oregon even going from Crisco to Lanning was in a much better spot plus the money. I don’t even blame the guys around that time for not going to UW. I think going somewhere like Ohio State is a much better move but whatever. Pretty sure he would be a decent guard right now at UW or allow Fautanu to play guard.

Fautano would be Olin Kruetz like if UW had the talent at tackle to let him play inside. Devastating. IMHO, If he’s playing at a blue blood he’s a two time all American at guard right now.

I just feel sad for the Connerly family. My father is a Rainier Beach alum. You sold your kid to Nike for a bag? It would be more understandable if Washington was inferior like back in the Chip Kelly days. Weak sauce

Never noticed him during the game and watching highlights all I saw was him getting beat bad by Trice on the Eddy sack and holding Trice after he got beat twice on big Oregon plays and getting away with it. Almost all their runs were up the middle.
Oregon’s OL is elite, lmfao, and JC is a big part of that. He also doesn’t have to wear purple.

That sure looks like some shitty numbers
Rewatching the game, our DE were able to force Nix out of the pocket often. The issue is Nix is great at keeping the play alive and makes up for having shitty OL
I wouldn’t say that Oregon has a shitty OL, but sure.gif

Oregons offensive line is good. BoNix makes them look better than they are. Vs the Ute he was getting rid of the ball often with no hitch. Just letting it rip as they say. He is really good this year.

    Re: Nix

Stein has been great as an OC. Bo was good last year. Heisman stuff this year so far, and even Thompson is showing signs of being a real QB although in garbage minutes.

He’s essentially two play calls in Seattle away from perfect, thus far. Hope we keep him another year or two. I could see another school backing up the truck for him as an OC but I think he’ll stick in Eugene.

At some point he’s gonna get a shot as a HC somewhere, but he and the position coaches all seem to be on the same page.

Throw in Bucky Irving there as well. It definitely helps your rushing stats when you have a generational tackle breaker at running back who you have to keep in front of you. Someone posted the highlight package of the 2019 Auburn/Oregon game and forgot Nix looked great for his first college game if he could cut down on the bonehead throws, which he has. He's pretty damn hard to stop if he's not turning the ball over.

Conrely got beaten like John Bonham's drum all day that day. The little turtle try hard dork at center had to tap out again like Alex Forsyth late cuz he was trying so hard to rep his Ducks. If Tuli is healthy and they play again he'll tap earlier.
And a heartily chortle at LG working the triple-team on NT whilst Ulo rustles his asswhiskers on the way by.

I enjoyed reading this sniping from the Oregon 247 mod's grading out of the position groups from Friday

"Josh Conerly Jr. remained the weakest link, albeit while facing Bralen Trice, who finished with five of the eight QB hurries of Nix"

    He sucks until he doesn’t.

Hopefully he sees the light and realizes what this staff did for Fautanu.

Fautanu was always a stud in high school from when he dominated Nolan Smith. Absolute stud that was underrated by services. Conerly is just the body type.

subK is deeply disturb person. @backthepack and him used to blow each other and go to games together
