If only Cohen hadn't whiffed on the share negotiations.
-
If he wins 10 again next year and makes the 12 team playoff he’d get another bump. He’s got to know that. I think they’ll come to an agreement. I mean, why announce you’ve given Morgan a new title and probably a bump in pay if you’re planning on leaving? It’s all so weird.

wantdeserve $10M when we beat Texas and $11-12M when we finish off Harblow or Saban.
Better give DeBoer his $9M now and be happy for it -

Just donated $40 to the athletic department.

Exactly, I think we should close now. Caz, by end of the playoffs we might have to pay hike $11-12mmGeevis_and_Butthead said:

My theory for a while is that it's DeBoer that's delaying negotiations. He's a competitive guy and knows what he has with this team.
He thinks he's winning a natty and is betting on himself. "We'll discuss my contract on January 9th."
That's my theory. -

Why would he do that? His daughter plays softball at Washington.1to392831weretaken said:My theory for a while is that it's DeBoer that's delaying negotiations. He's a competitive guy and knows what he has with this team.

DeBoer has always wanted to coach his daughter's college softball team

Yep, I've had the same theory.1to392831weretaken said:My theory for a while is that it's DeBoer that's delaying negotiations. He's a competitive guy and knows what he has with this team.

That's my theory.
The extra pay differential if he wins out is larger than any possible downside if he loses.
I also suspect he likes his coordinators and he wanted to prove the doubters wrong.
We might still have the worst coordinators of any 13-0 Pac12 champ that is 9-0 against ranked teams and 3-0 against Oregon -- but DeBoer wants his coordinators paid. -
He agreed to terms way too early with uw last time. This time, not so much.
