Here's a thought to ponder

We don't have any malarkey gifs of DeBoer. None. Zippo. After two years!
I also noticed that the ABC cameras basically ignored him all game long vs. Beavlet.

I noticed the same thing during the game.... It seems like he's shown less than almost any other coach on the sidelines during the broadcasts.DerekJohnson said:After two years of Petersen, we had tons of gifs of Pete cursing out his players, cursing out the refs, flipping the bird to assembled media, etc.

I love his sideline demeanor though.... He always looks pissed but never frazzled... it looks like he's always in control... Gives me even more confidence in him. -
I have seen him get pissed at tybo rogers illegal block in the back and unsportsmanlike conduct on the same freaking play.DerekJohnson said:After two years of Petersen, we had tons of gifs of Pete cursing out his players, cursing out the refs, flipping the bird to assembled media, etc.

Also he chased down the ref with a dry erase board to diagram the play and show them they were wrong. He gets pissed at refs.
It's easier to not get pissed when you're 23-2 though. -
He is needs to work on his content strategy for HH

Can't say I've seen that GIF?DerekJohnson said:After two years of Petersen, we had tons of gifs of Pete cursing out his players, cursing out the refs, flipping the bird to assembled media, etc.

I also get the impression he’s pretty even handed with the press. Not kissing their ass but also not showing thinly veiled contempt like Petersen did.Very professional.
But as @AtomicDawg said, it’s easier to be composed when you’re undefeated. -
He’s boring AF
Seattle Freeze
He’s perfect -

Deboer is the strong and silent Gary Cooper type who we've all been waiting for

That white board thing was the only thing that kept me from throwing things at my screen.AtomicDawg said:

"You fucking idiots! Someone show them how to do their fucking jobs!"
"Uhhhh, thanks coach, you got this." -
This was such a huge whiff that even kimmies face tells the grim reality of a poorly timed onlyfans picture.insinceredawg said: -

w/respect, those reactions were appreciated when Petersmens was here and winning. It's a difference in styles, not a zero sum.DerekJohnson said:After two years of Petersen, we had tons of gifs of Pete cursing out his players, cursing out the refs, flipping the bird to assembled media, etc.

And the bird was malarkey in the Grumble edit suite. I like to call my Vic 20 the "edit suite." That's what I like to do. -
DeBoer channels Peteylips Carroll with the gum chomping recently
-
Difference being DeBoer, being the smart Dutchman, is far more economical in his gum-chewing. Maybe one piece of gum per quarter. Carroll, the wasteful Californian, has a bag of Bazooka that he taps into every series, sometimes forgetting to get rid of what he currently is chewing, which makes for a god-awful and disgusting mouthful of goo splatter.PostGameOrangeSlices said:DeBoer channels Peteylips Carroll with the gum chomping recently

DeBoer has the look of a supporting character in an old war movie. Either a Nazi colonel who fearlessly sends his troops into a skirmish of certain death or an American sergeant cussing out the newbies Washington just sent him to fight the Viet Cong.

I'd bet $1000 that is nicotine gum.PostGameOrangeSlices said:DeBoer channels Peteylips Carroll with the gum chomping recently

Had to step through the frames of the GIF one by one to see what his midwestern civility tries hard to hide.
That is the look of a stone cold mother fucker.
Only there for a split second. But it's there.

I can buy both roles. He definitely has an Ed Harris energy going on.TheHB said:DeBoer has the look of a supporting character in an old war movie. Good pull. The poster @HairyBallsDawg posted a pic that perfectly illustrates how right you are.Doog_de_Jour said:

One could make the argument Lake at that time *was* an opposing coach..the program. So I loved it. Freed us? up to get DeBoer.LawDawg1 said:

Jimmy. Took the keys to the Lamborghini and then crashed it into a tree, @Dennis_DeYoung style. -
This was the best thing Jimmy Lake did as head coachLawDawg1 said:

At Michigan or Alabama -
And yet, in a number of games this year, I hear how much he sucks from you guys. Weird.
