Anybody watching season two?

What I find myself doing is looking up the players from that era on basketball reference and see where they played, who they were traded for, where they were drafted, etc.

The most recent episode Jim Chones, Brad Holland. A 2nd rounder in 1982 and an 1st rounder in 1983 (Randy Wittman) were sent to the Bullets for Mitch Kupchak as compensation in signing him. I hated Kupchak as a kid. Anyway, it is kind of cool to look back and see who won what trades

If you love NBA player rabbit holes, basketball reference is a deep hole.

    I've watched since season 1. Good show. I was there

    Artistic license though. Ralph Sampson hit a buzzer beater in 81 to knock out the Lakers in round 1. Magic didn't miss the last shot

    Love the show and the book. I’m so depressed this season is only seven episodes. Jeff Pearlman, the book’s author, is afraid there won’t be a season three as HBO/Max hasn’t done anything to promote it:

    It's a decent show, but HBO is starting to drop off with having to feature this show, Righteous Gemstones, some of their documentaries.

    Not sure when they're planning the new True Detective to debut but they really needed to get it out this summer.

    After their couple year string of true crime limited series like Mare of Easttown (underrated show of all time for them), it's gone downhill.

    Max is otherwise a bunch of shit I already had access to. Movies are definitely lacking as well.

    I'm reading Pearlman's book right now that the show is based off of.

    Kareem is still the GOAT center of all Tim.

    @DerekJohnson allegedly Kareem lost 3000 Jazz LP's in a house fire in 1983.

    Tragic will get the AIDS soon enough. He does a lot of boning in this show. Never understood why he wanted Cookie so bad. Tragic was banging way finer pieces of ass than her.

    And I agree Kareem is the GOAT too.

    I agree on Kareem as well but our little Sonics actually beat the Lakers on the way to the 79 title. When LA got Magic and Seattle won game one then lost 4 straight I knew it was over for the Western Conference

    Kareem has 6 rings - 5 with Magic. Magic has 5 - all with Kareem. 9 Finals together. Move over MJ and Scottie. The best duo ever is in LA

    Take it back, season 2 has been pretty good.

    Jason Segel has been pretty good at playing an a absolute toolbag of a head coach.

    Heard True Detective isn't back until next year which is unfortunate.

    Really seems like something is going on with all TV since COVID hit. Quality is really going down with every channel and streamer. Worried everything has just fractured in a bunch of ways and great and even good shit is pretty much done for the most part.

    I generally stick with live sports and documentaries. Everything else eventually disappoints.

    So the Celtics and Lakers are tied at 2 titles each with the Celtic Pride still owning LA ?

    Showtime didn't even get their reads down until 1985, when Lil Yella started watching. Christ.
