    Would it though? Brown is whatever, other than he is in state. Johnson is a rotating contributor next year. Recruiting is important, but instant impact has always been rare. Portal impact is often immediate.

    I think you have it mixed up. I’m pretty sure he lost weight, but yeah, it’s apparently made a big difference

    For me, yes. In-state and then doesn’t go to whoregon. Perception take - have to change the narrative. If he sucks then he portals out. I’ll take a DL rotating contributor as a FR. Immediate impact comes from portal yes as udub isn’t buying instant impact FR. The portal fills holes where misses occur and guys aren’t ready to step in; not to fill every position.

    Maybe I’m just overly obsessed with teen boys hence the allure.

    High School recruiting still matters in a big way.. this is a nice pick up and rated where most of our recruits are rated 87-89, which is solid but not elite. The fact everyone assumes we are going to kill the portal does not make sense the same teams we can’t out recruit for high school talent will be in the portal. I guess the next big DL recruit is Jericho Johnson a high rated 4*, that they will offer $$. Hopefully we get him.
