When Harbaugh leaves Michigan for the NFL….

Between USC, Michigan and Penn State (I’m assuming PSU will decide to care again and be tired of 10-2) we gonna have a hell of a bidding war.
-
Hence UW's appeals to pay $100 per season ticket before Oct 31st. If 30,000 season tickets do it, that's $3,000,000 needed to go to DeBoer's raise.whlinder said:Between USC, Michigan and Penn State (I’m assuming PSU will decide to care again and be tired of 10-2) we gonna have a hell of a bidding war.

Big Dick Ana Marie ain't gonna go on the cheap for DeBoer, but if some school comes at him with a $15 million/yr offer or something stupid, then fuck it.
Would be interesting to see USC or Michigan or Penn State or Notre Dame recruiting 3-star players from the Dakotas. -
Franklin just won the Rose Bowl. He isn't getting firedwhlinder said:Between USC, Michigan and Penn State (I’m assuming PSU will decide to care again and be tired of 10-2) we gonna have a hell of a bidding war.

Michigan is the only school I’d worry about as a UW fan. Don’t think he wants anything to do with the bs involved at aggie or usc. Although Jen does look like his wife…

Inge's son committed as pwo. Kids can obviously transfer, but still.
Couple things:
1. Michigan may just say they're sorry and tell everyone to fuck off. They just got to elite status and beating Ohio State's ass.
2. Michigan is arrogant, they are the blue blood most likely to go get another alum if Harbaugh has to leave. Not sure they're down with a 50 rushing yard per game offense.
3. If DeBoer gets poached, no doubt UW will get Willie Fritz.
4. DeBoer's salary is interesting because at 18-2 it wouldn't be hard to get boosters to get him his money. There still might be some fear that a huge part of the success is having the best pure passer in the country, which they won't have next year. -
My #sources indicate that Michigan is the only real threat to pull Deboer out of THEGREATESTSETTING
Lanning to Bama
Deboer to Michigan
Stein v Grubb at Autzen trailer park in 2024 -
Im a little worried about that. I guess part of his appeal is that he can find and coach QBs really well but that relies on Haener and Penix so it's a really good track record but just short. Now I'm talking myself back into paying the guy no matter what cause he's also got a stupid good winning percentage as a HC and alot of guys can't find one good QB nevermind twohaie said:

Who cares? Worry about winning for now. If he wants to stay here he will sign a new deal and it will pay him a bunch of money. DeBoer doesn't strike me as a guy who would take a different job just because of the money. If it's not the Michigan money that's the big lure, there is nothing UW can do about it.

He's 3-16 vs top 10 teams at PSU. The 3 are:PostGameOrangeSlices said:

Blocked FG for a TD to beat tOSU at home in 2016.
Beat Wisconsin in 2016 B1G champ game, coming back from 28-7 deficit in
(Of course, that 2016 season included a 49-10 loss in the Big House)
Utah in the 2023 Rose Bowl.
He's Mark Richt. -
With UW going to the B1G I'm more worried about Ohio State's season tanking.Canadawg said:

That is the one school DeBoer won't say no to, and he'll be able to hand pick whatever fucking unicorn qb he wants. It would suck to have to play him backed by bucknut.
I don't think Bama is a threat because of Dabo. Sark still has some lives left in Texas, for now. Maybe A&M can get him to the sec.
Maybe he says fuck it, his protected rivalry game is against a keg boy with a lifetime contract instead of having to go up against a blue blood every year. He can still beat all these shitty B1G teams in his sleep at UW. -
Poor Mark Richt. When he left the players could cuss, smoke weed, and race cars. Brought out the guys needed to win nattys. Mr. Rodgers never belonged on the sidelines but makes a hell of a neighbor.whlinder said:

So what you’re all saying in this thread is there a chance he may go but there’s also a chance he might say.
Chinsightful. -

Your coach is in his tenth year. 84-36. One league championship. Lost a Rose Bowl won a Fiesta Bowl. Won a Rose Bowl after finishing 3rd in his division
Gets paid 10 million a year to finish third in his division.
As a matter of fact I would fire him -
THANK YOU! I’m sick of this “keep DeBoer” talk. It’s some weak ass beta program shit. Even if we? were BAMA there’s always the chance of a coach bolting to the NFL.BleachedAnusDawg said:Who cares? If a man wants to LEAVE! then he’ll LEAVE!
Best you can do is put a couple twenties on the nightstand for an Uber, and promise to him call later…

its probably going to be a lot of money, at least going to be what mel was getting at sparty. have to think harbaugh once again goes back on his word and jumps to the nfl, maybe the bears?thechatch said:…how much does UM offer Deboer to come to Ann Arbor?
will uw match? who knows.
but if michigan cant land deboer, who else will they get? grubb? is michigan the type of school to have an OC 'learn on the job?' uw tried that, didnt work. domers are trying that, it isnt working.
im sure it will be an entertaining as fuck coaching search though, hopefully it rivals the schiano/tennessee shenanigans.
edit: i added this link of who bruce feldman thinks are 'up and coming coaches' and holy shit, football season comes at you fast -

If Grubb becomes a head coach next year, it’s not gonna be with a top power 5 program.

Dickhurt to Michigan State, Grubb to Cuog, is what I'm hearing.TheHB said:If Grubb becomes a head coach next year, it’s not gonna be with a top power 5 program.

I probably wouldn’t fire him while he’s #2 in the country, but that’s just me.
-
Yeah, I think you need to let the whole investigation play out before firing anyone, but pulling his contract extension offer is also the right move.thechatch said:I probably wouldn’t fire him while he’s #2 in the country, but that’s just me.
