Have to buy an old gun to slam fire. only a few made. Winchester models 1897 and 12 plus the Ithaca 37 come to mind there are a few more. The 12ga properly loaded is the best stopper around. Modern ammo and interchangeable chokes have made buckshot reach new levels in shot patterns and effective useable range. -

Auto-shotguns are either too unreliable or too expensive to then be moderately reliable. My win 12 is as reliable as a hammer.
I have an Ithaca as well but double barrel side by side.
