Shaq is special. He needs more than 3 carries this game. For whatever reason, when he touches the rock good things happen. I'd give him an entire series, or have some red zone packages installed for him.
Good pole. As suggested by the HF podcast, as opposed to the freaking honks who said Coleman and Cooper, I think Shaq is a key to the game Saturday. He is gonna get some carries.
Its tempting to say he is our best RB. At least I would be more confident with him in the backfield to hurt the Stanford D than with the other backs. The problem is that we also absolutely need him at his best on defense. I think that eventually limits his carries, but ideally I hope he gets more than 10.
Agreed with the Undertaker. He is so goddamn essential for our defense on Saturday. I wouldn't run him unless Coleman, Washington, and Cooper all can't get anything going.
I recall when the Mariners were in their hay day and Randy Johnson their ace. In the key playoff race I think he pitched in every game. With this being the 1st conference game for Peterman, his staff, and this young team, I think the staff puts the load on the back of the best two way player in football. He'll get 11+ caries on offense and will be a huge contributor on defense.
Think he'll be a great decoy this time for some long passes...until now every time he's been in the balls pretty much always gone to him.
I could definitely see this happening. Stanford D is definitely going to be seeing him on film and he will draw a lot of attention when getting subbed into the game.
A nice play-action at an opportune time would definitely increase blood-flow to my sweat pants.

Great decoy and red zone options with Miles or Jeff and I look forward to Pete's mad science chit Saturday to fluster and catch Furd off balance on D.

I could definitely see a flea flicker with Shaq for the reasons mentioned previously ... Stanford will see him in the game and immediately key on him running the football.

1-5 carries and 6-10 offensive snaps.
