Gawd, easy walk in TD for Penix, even for someone with two injured legs like Ferguson, if he keeps the ball. The left edge was sealed.GrundleStiltzkin said:Fourth down fail. I don't get this play, the counter pull is to left to allow for QB keep, but Penix was absolutely not going to keep there. So why the hell do that? Don't get it.

That's ok, UW hasn't been good in short yardage for more than 20 years.TheHB said:

Seemed like Fowler and Herbstreit made it a point several times to say how great Stein is as a play caller.

Keep rewatching and keep imagining the ball pop loose.GrundleStiltzkin said: -

Franklin one on one with Elijah Jackson = ass. Honestly surprised it wasn't worse. -
I don't get that one. That would be a poor effort for an 8th grader. Just an embarrassing lack of basic fundamentals. If he just came in under control and with his head up that's an easy stop. He was out of control for no reason, almost like he wanted to miss the tackle.WoolleyDoog said:GrundleStiltzkin said:

With how fast they (and a lot of offenses now, really) get the ball out and Nix' mobility, it's really fucking hard to get sacks.GrundleStiltzkin said:What I mentioned earlier, Trice puts the LT on skates just with the bull rush, impressive, but they gotta get off the blocks

So I noticed on both ankle-dive tackle attempts and the dbs getting burned by Franklin, it was a db wearing white sleeves. Is it the same guy on all our shitty plays? And who is it? Jackson?

Same question. I never did know who but it looked like the same player both times.bananasnblondes said:So I noticed on both ankle-dive tackle attempts and the dbs getting burned by Franklin, it was a db wearing white sleeves. Is it the same guy on all our shitty plays? And who is it? Jackson?

What a great fucking effort to make this catchGrundleStiltzkin said: -
One of my favorite plays of the game. I think of it every time I recall somebody saying Oregon would win because they were more physical. It took the Oregon player a while to get up and he had to be attended to by Oregon's staff.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
Some people like to blame Lanning for a bad call.GrundleStiltzkin said:
Instead, I like to credit our D for a fine goal line stand. -

it was like the huskies were purposefully missing every open field tackle, other than the obvious perfect one early in the game. that was the only open field tackle i remember anyone makingchuck said:

Defense had 18 missed tackles in the game. I think half were on this play.GrundleStiltzkin said: -
In the defense of the defense Irving is a tackle breaking machine
As I've said our defense is good enough to be in position to miss the tackle except on 4th down
They make plays when they have to
Kwat D was solid and made tackles and couldn't make a stop when they had to.
I'd like both but uw can win it all with this defense because of the offense and how the game has changed
