    No mention of Gee Scott Jr.?

    A comment like this deserves a headbutt

    Reggie was the 9th pick in the draft for a reason. The homer in me says, if Rome keeps this up he feels like a top half of the 1st round talent.

    I think Rome is the best WR to come through UW. He doesn’t have any sort of weakness.

    @RaceBannon any thoughts?

    Reggie Williams with Michael Penix would have been unstoppable

    If he continues this pace, I think he will be. I think Reggie had more top end speed, but Rome has better body control and elusiveness, while still being powerful and fast. Rome is just fucking clutch too. I was in high school when Reggie was in his heyday, so maybe I just don’t remember fully how good that dude was. Reggie was a freakish athlete playing WR, Rome is an incredible WR with near freakish athleticism.
    When Reggie caught the ball there was always the possibility he was going to shake off a tackle or two and explode. Sometimes DBs bounced off of him like he was made of brick and he could turn on the jets in a blink. Odunze usually looks the same but I think Williams was a little faster out of the blocks and more likely to take a short pass for a long TD.
    Ok, that’s basically my recollection as well. Reggie was a bit more explosive, but Rome is more complete.

    Disagree, McMillen is technically sound, he’s always open. He may have a better pro career based on his knowledge of where to be and when.

    Reggie was picked at 9 due to upside and he didn’t have a great pro career. Pretty shitty one considering where he was drafted.

    I don’t think Rome will go in the top 9 but I’m more than 81% confident that he will have a very good NFL career if he stays healthy.

    Reggie was long my favorite Husky since he was a great, very cool player when my fan level started getting unhealthy in high school. Never thought it was possible to say Rome is the easy choice for me now. He's so much smoother and seems to be a vocal leader on the team while I remember hearing there were some culture and effort issues around Reggie when the program started to fall apart.

    Would be interesting to see what you'd do with a player like Reggie now. The trend at the time was to bulk up WRs like him, get them to 225 and throw jump balls while now you want leaner guys who are route runners. Seems crazy to say you might turn Reggie into an elite elite elite TE now.
