Final thought from the game

Guy looked like he broke some ribs, and was in pain.
UW fans cheered for him to stay down. And he did. Was like Gladiator…..F this guy.
I was right there with them telling Duck fans in area to “Ship his ass back to Springfield” Normally im polite like rest of people and pretend to be classy.
I have never seen the collective UW stadium happy a guy got laid out. Normally they but their Ivars chowder down and pretend they are concerned.
Realized this one was different.

I thought the crowd was dialed in all day. Cheered the big hits clapped up the real injuries when they got up and booed the fakers off the field

There was another hit on the idiot who didn’t call a fair catch on a punt and also one on an Oregon kickoff return where they got absolutely speared. UW was blowing them up.
That being said UW also had quite a few fucking awful tackle attempts that caused Oregon to pick up like 10 extra yards.
This defense is weird as fuck. They gave up 500 yards yesterday BUT were 3/3 on the absolute most critical plays of the game. -
Here’s where this defense is still mentally weak. Powell’s big hit set up 2nd and long, Duck gets maybe back to LOS setting up a 3rd and long. Crowd is into it and defense gives up the 1st and then gives a long drive.
Did the same vs Zona. -
I'll take this team over any of Pete's without hesitation, but there's a certain intensity a throat-feces defense bring to the entire stadium. I miss some of those Kwat/Lake dirtbags that made third down so fucking fun.

The UW defense always hits hard in the first half
Fucking ASA laid out Bucky Irving at one point
It's like they run out of juice after halftime -

As maddening as some of the game was it was still worlds more enjoyable that a peterman coached tight starfish game.GreenRiverGatorz said:I'll take this team over any of Pete's without hesitation, but there's a certain intensity a throat-feces defense bring to the entire stadium. Agree. Just my 0.02, in general they seem to be doing a good job getting in position to make a play but they miss way too many tackles. It's frustrating to watch. Really miss the Lambo and Kwat defenses. This team would be odds on favorites to win it all if they had one of those defenses.CuntWaffle said:There was another hit on the idiot who didn’t call a fair catch on a punt and also one on an Oregon kickoff return where they got absolutely speared. Lean in to the grunge.
And where is Sir Mixalot? -
The Huskytron cameraman would have too much activity going from big butt to big butt and picking which to use.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

I know fans try to Frankenstein teams together all the time but man imagine the stitched together bad assery of this offense and the 2016 D. That Frankenstein team would beat last years Georgia squad by two scores. Absolute steamroller of a team. A doog can dream....Southerndawg said:

That Frankenstein team would have an unholy number of first and second round NFL draft picks on it.Swaye said:

UW made Oregon work for everything the entire game minus one or two late drives after Grubb put the D on the spot. They forced a lot of third downs and then failed to get off the field. Got it done and it payed off when it counted though.CuntWaffle said:There was another hit on the idiot who didn’t call a fair catch on a punt and also one on an Oregon kickoff return where they got absolutely speared. They got Elijah Jackson on Franklin not that play. No chance. Terrible matchup. Oregon did a great job of scheming to get Franklin with anyone other than Muhammad on him and UW Odunze with anyone but #5, who is their best DB.CFetters_Nacho_Lover said:Here’s where this defense is still mentally weak. Agreed. Some poor tackling aside. Grubb wanted the knockout punch after Oregon turned it over on downs and instead went 3 and out - at least twice. Could have salted the game away but put Oregon right back in it and taking the lead too.chuck said:
