The biggest burn I’ve ever heard RE: the Oregon-Washington rivalry (and I apologize for not remembering who said it) was, “Oregon NEEDS UW in order to tell their story, but Washington doesn’t need Oregon to tell theirs.”
And I think that’s true. Despite the Duckade of dominance, the Nike money, etc. they ultimately rely on the Huskies to give them an identity. -
