    He looks good but most of the film is him beating skinny white guys. I’d like to see how he does in the playoffs against better competition. Decent burst, decent speed, cutting ability.

    I hate highlights like this. If a RB is making plays that would be good in flag football that doesn't tell us what it's like when he's hit or needs to get that 4th down against a stacked box.

    Couple of 6 in dongs in for the ducks today. Crazy how we are allergic to getting anyone to commit from inside the state

    My read, which is entirely biased such that it puts UW in a good light, is this: UW doesn't really want him. UO thinks they do and is recruiting him just because they can. Once it's clear that UW lost interest Oregon will too, and he'll end up settling for neither.

    His has been a Chinteresting recruitment. UW has only offered 5 RBs this year according to 247 (may an athlete or two as well) while the staff has already offered 7 RBs for 2025. UW could have as many as 6 RBs returning and can always add via the transfer portal should it drop down to 4.

    Block, catch, put your foot down and hit the hole. In that order, in this offense.

    Brown doesn't pass the first criteria. Not saying he sucks, so don't twist

    There's no question that there will be more RB/TE involvement as the season progresses and teams try to take away the WRs

    @Baseman

    What's interesting is that to date we haven't really utilized our RBs out of the backfield in the passing game

    Probably something that we'll see a little bit more as the season goes on and teams play more shell coverages

    expect more receptions as we? play tougher teams. Hard wasting designed wheel routes for rbs when Rome/Polk/McMillan and Bernard are running free down field. I'd expect we utilize our RBs more against Oregon, SC, etc

    Talapapa was a boss last year blocking. It wasn't sexy --it was for me--but i can think of a handful of plays where he stood up a dogging LB allowing Penix to complete a key pass and prevented several sacks.

    The receiving element is definitely a criteria this staff values. Grubb said if you dont block, or block well you don't play
    Grubb hasn’t even pulled out 3 TE’s and 2 Rb’s
    on them yet. That’s a huge can of whoop ass, because all of a sudden the two running backs are actually pretty good receivers. How do you stop that?

    @Baseman

    And there we go with the importance of RBs and TEs in the passing game
