Consensus was right. The RNC should suspend these until after some natural thinning during the first few primaries.

Meh. I get the uni-party tie-in but if you're referring to the presidential candidates, I disagree. Christie is TDS broken, he will never vote for Trump, but I do believe his down ballot voting would be for other republicans, not democrats. I also believe the others would vote straight republican tickets including for president regardless of who the presidential nominee is.

They all realize there is no real way to compete with Trump if they can't get him to directly engage. DeSantis' comment, foolish or not, was aimed at that goal, and he's right, the national debt did increase by 7.8T while Trump was president. Trump needs to be prepared to defend that. DeSantis is certainly being disingenuous, but Trump has been attacking him, so fair is fair. Fact is half of the debt increase under Trump was driven by the scamdemic panic. Trump should have fought to limit spending, but given where we were at the beginning of the scamdemic, he does deserve a little slack for that fuck up, and I do believe that if Trump had been re-elected, the economic course he had us on would have significantly reduced the national debt, ..... and kept Russia from invading Ukraine, .... and would have kept China in check, ..... and would have avoided the Afghanistan debacle, ..... and would have kept us energy independent with ample low priced fuel, ..... and would have maintained peace in the Middle East under the Abraham Accords, .... and would have kept illegals from streaming over the boarder, .... and would have maintained low interest rates, and .. and ... and. Biden voters completely fucked this country up the ass sideways with a rusty cheese grater.

The entire Bush clan voted for Hillary then Biden

    It's not beyond reality

DeSantis was in Congress from 16 to 18

Blaming Trump for inflation is a gift to Biden and typical meathead desperation

The neocon GOP hates the Trump base and the feeling is mutual. How that translates down ballot is kind of meaningless as many of those people are either 1. Locally relevant or 2. ready to set sail whichever way the political winds shift or 3. abundance.

Yeah, you can't blame the guy for who signed a $2.2 trillion stimulus package after shutting down the economy for inflation. You won't melt if you criticize your hero Race.

He's the only candidate that shut down his economy

Not to get in the middle of a food fight, but you're being a bit disingenuous. Florida had a three and a half week stay at home order in place for non-essential work staff, with no mask mandates in public spaces. In fact Florida was excoriated in the MSM for "allowing" people to play on the beach without masks. Schools were closed for the remainder the spring session, but open again in the fall. The handling of the pandemic and level of freedom in Florida are primary reasons for the massive inflow of people during and post pandemic.

Ripping DeSantis for not being ready for prime time is fair. He is young, has made some rookie mistakes, could use a few more years under his belt before stepping on the big stage, but overall he has been enormously successful as a governor, including his response to the pandemic and in turning a purple state red, even with the massive inflow of retards from blue states.

Trump is El Hefe. He will appeal to those of us who like his policies and don't give a rats ass about some of his behavior, but make no mistake, some of his behavior turned off/pissed off enough of the population that a basement hiding dementia addled life long grifting Joe Biden was "voted" in, fucking the whole country in the process. If the democrats are really dumb enough to run Joe and Kamala again, they will have to improve their cheat game, even if Trump is the republican nominee. If they change course and find a more normal candidate to control, I believe Trump will have a hard time winning a general election. Just my 0.02.

Ron wants to make it an issue he needs to answer for locking down Florida

And taking that federal covid cash

    Doesn't matter he's toast anyway

He might be toast. Time will tell. The debate with Newsome looks like a desperate move. The risk is all on DeSantis. It's a trial balloon for Newsome.

Weird how you don't address the $2.2 Trillion spending bill that Trump signed, and it's impact on inflation. Yeah, I'm sure DeSantis is somehow to blame for that as well.

Someone didn't watch Sesame Street on how a bill is made

If you DeSantis folks want to rewrite 2020 and give Biden a hand job that's fine with me

    It's why Ron is toast

Seriously, it's just a personality cult with you at this point. Trump's not responsible for the legislation he signs is about as pathetic a take I can come up with.

Naaah, the Trump isn't responsible for the bills he signs is a whole new take. I like you, you know that, but you're embarrassing yourself. If we were friends who saw each other on a regular basis we'd be in the "we can't discuss politics at all" zone.

He was responsible for giving the people what they wanted and craved. Only Noem and Massie didn’t support it.
