I would but I take my role as a mod seriously and read everything on the main board.
Onto my point. There’s been a lot of bitching about the defense. I’m not gonna be a Doog and claim they’re better than the 91 Dawgs and 84 Bears combined but they’ve been good so far.
Through 4 games and in non garbage time, i.e., anytime after Penix leaves the game, they’ve given up 34 points through 4 games:
Boise -19
Tulsa - 3
Sparty - 0
Cal - 12
Do the backups suck? Sarksure.gif but for now the starters are getting it done.

Hopefully someone will find one of those advanced stats things which tracks performance when the game is "reasonably close" and discards all stats when the margin is above a certain threshold and see how we* rank.

If 86 is close enough for you then 84 is close for me. Besides, the Bears probably had a ln above average defense in 84.YellowSnow said:

That's why imo it was a good thing to have the last game the way it was. Get the defense alot of work, experience.
