Sapp is or was a ridiculously gifted player - people that size should not be able to move and twitch like he could - but he was also undisciplined, unpleasant and didn't need great technique because of his genes. I think skepticism about his coaching was warranted. He had a massive talent advantage at JSU. MASSIVE. Two of the games he lost were in the HBCU title game on NYD. So when everything was on the line and an opponent had a pulse he lost, twice. That said he’s 2-0 this year when teams have similar talent. He’s got two more games like that against UA and WSU. As I thought he’d win four games this year, if he wins those two, he probably finishes 7-5 and that would be quite impressive and I’ll be a believer. Remember, this isn’t a 1-11 team. That team was told to LEAVE! This is a team with 70 new players. A team that should be better than 1-11 with future NFL players peppered throughout the roster.DerekJohnson said:
