I think there definitely is. ESPN doesn’t create these intros in a vacuum. They cater to the intended audience and, right now, that audience doesn’t include UW fans — at least not to a significant extent.

If UW did even an average job of marketing its football program, ESPN would care. They don’t. Not even with the Seattle market being a pretty choice one.

The amount of airtime the 8th ranked team in the nation gets is a joke. And it’s not because of objective journalism. It’s largely because UW is shitty at marketing itself.

Beating BSU and Tulsa isn't exactly going to get the hype train rolling. It's starts with beating MSU and throttling Oregon at home to start peddling Heisman and playoff talk....meh
