I’m sure I told this story before but I was with my family staying at at my parents’ friend’s summer cabin when the announcement was made about James resigning. I broke down crying at the news.

Came home and a couple weeks later watched my first Husky game of many without my dad and without the Dawgfather. I was 14, starting my freshman year of HS and my whole world had turned upside down. My mom will still bring that day up to me every year a new season starts. 30 years you say? Damn.
