Big Ten network showed the one hour replay of Maryland at Miami 1984

The Frank Reich college miracle game. Down 31 -0 at the half.

Not to be confused with the Frank Reich NFL miracle game down 35-3 to Houston

People wanted Jimmy out of there on a rail because the defense was so bad in year 1. That was the same year they lost to the UCLA Troy Aikmans and the Boston College Doug Fluties. All three were passing and (for the day) high scoring shoot-outs in which Miami was on the wrong side.

Of course, Jimmy would go on to show he knew a little about defense.

One other note: that same middling team beat Will Perdue on the road. So there's that.
