    The Gem of the conferen

    46XiJCAB said:

There’s no complex on any college campus that even comes close to Oregon. And Autzen is the Gem stone. The jealousy is thick here.

New indoor practice facility and about to expand the nicest stadium in the Conference.

Meanwhile over at the erector set.

No amount of improvement can ever wash off the stench of trailer trash emitted by your stadium. My team plays in one of the most recognizable stadiums in the world, home of the Rose Bowl and host to several major events including a World Cup final. You can’t compete with that, let alone UW and USC.
You don’t have a stadium Bro. You’re not part of the convo and neither is your big Bro.

There are things about Oregon I am jealous of.

Your G5 sized football stadium is not one of them.
Expansion will put it near 70K. It’s 54K now. Gotta get ready for that B1G move.

CBSSports just did the top-10 college stadiums for atmosphere. Autzen #6. A pity vote for the RB at #10 for hosting one game a year that matters. The erector set didn't make the cut.

Check out Gus Johnson's interview on CBS.

Outside of the top SEC venues, he singles out Husky Stadium and no one else.

    Good for Gus.

    NOC.

Oregon is easily the best atmosphere in the Pac-12.

    It's not even close.

Glad to see you admit that the stadium itself is inferior and have now pivoted to “atmosphere.”

Try not to cry. It is what it is. No one ever talks atmosphere at Erector Set Stadium.

Now you’re just reaching. Build an on campus stadium and then you can join the conversation.

Apparently, “UCLA fans” are finding other things to do on game day, J.

    https://www.latimes.com/sports/ucla/story/2022-09-08/ucla-football-attendance-woes-hit-new-low-chip-kelly

Attendance at a 100,000+ seat stadium with an 8-4 team averaged 45,000 (and some change) last year. This included LSU visiting the Rose Bowl.

How far from campus? 15-20 minute walk?

    Distance from Westwood to Pasadena?

    Cut the charade, J.
1999 Rose Bowl - last time UCLA played in a Rose Bowl - lost to Wisconsin.
1984 Rose Bowl - last time UCLA won a Rose Bowl; 39 years ago.
UCLA used to be a GREAT basketball school . . . Never been a great football school.
Never had a problem picking up reasonably priced tickets in great seats on game day at the Rose Bowl . . .

“Reasonably priced tickets” = “Below face value”

Great seats = Where you can actually see the game and not sit in the sun in the heat of the day.

10’s of thousands of crappy seats . . . both end zones. North side of stadium on a hot day.

The best coach in Oregon's history ditched the Greatest Setting to go coach in an empty Rose Bowl at UCLA who hasn't won anything in 39 years 🤣
