Ponderosa Pine
Spent time last week at an old growth redwood stand in the Santa Cruz mountains near Casa De Bears Winn. I'm changing my vote.
Redwoods might be the most magnificent living things on the planet. One's neck hurts bending upwards to gaze at the awe inspiring heights. Our kids were blown away.

Can't believe you spent so much time in the Ponderosa Pine camp. Those are hell trees. We had about 30 in our yard in Post Falls when I was a youngin'. I spent half my summer picking up pinecones and half the fall trying to rake up the needles. Absolutely terrible trees.

Ponderosa Pine
The GNR compound is all ponderosa. I can’t even guess how many trees - several hundred? Fucking pine needles. Everywhere.
