Not a favorite play from 2022, nor even from this game, but IMO the most important play in '22 was :

Bad ball by Penix. Possible TD if he doesn’t lead him quite so far. Still a huge play.

Was the 3rd and 8 to Culp in this drive too? I’m thinking it was a big deal but can’t remember what game it was. I’m old.

Play of the year is the Penix sideline throw to Taj Davis
Big fucking dick energy -
Too bad you had to stall the game by 15 minutes. Pay the fucking electric bill Jen!

Not so sure we are a lock to make that fg … it was windy as hell that night … I was close to field level.BleachedAnusDawg said:If he doesn't make that catch they still kick a FG and are up with about 50 seconds left. Not sure it was that critical. I always thought McMillan's catch where he wrestled the ball away from the Oregon DB and then popped up and flexed and told them all to suck his dick was the alpha moment of the year for the team.
We would have had the opportunity to kick it … but a 38 yard we in the wind …

He did say most underrated, so the catch on 3rd and 6 is pretty spot on, imo.
There was nothing underrated about any of the plays against Oregon. -
Despite the struggles, we should always beat Oregon State. We went 90+ yards and the two corners who were owning Penix got carved up. Plus some play calling that should have happened the previous 3 quarters.
My nominee for play of the year, that really changed things was the initial Oregon drive, something like 3rd and 10, 3rd and 14 or similar, and Penix escaped the pocked and ran for the first down. That took the wind of their sails and then they easily capped off the drive, and it was obvious to everyone in that stadium that it was going to be a really hard game for the front running Ducks. -
Penix hit Westover for a wide open TD on 3rd and 15. We hit some big plays at clutch times in that game. We were somewhat lifeless for most of the game. It was a big win and I don’t think we beat Oregon if we didn’t win that game.haie said:Despite the struggles, we should always beat Oregon State. Big picture was J Smitty not taking 2 field goals his 1st two drives of game vs. Beavs
Specifically right b4 half, Penix threw a absolute Pick 6 to Oregon State DB going into student end zone that if he hangs onto is 85 yard td going other way. I don't think we come back and win the game if that happens.
