Here's a pretty good interactive interview with Ed King, with him showing some riffs and talking about leaving Lynyrd Skynyrd. You have to get past Marty to enjoy it:

I noticed he didn't mention that leaving Skynyrd was also because of his increasing coke habit. Oopsie. Oh well, Ed King was a great piece of the band and helped write some great stuff. His strat sound really added a dynamic to the group. RIP

King has always been the Mick Taylor of Skynyrd to me.
