    @UW_Doog_Bot may have a different economic take - but even though this outcome is personally advantageous, the law of unintended consequences will kick in.

    Backstopping depositors funds, the government has given the banks a never-ending supply of coins for their fuckery.

    By way of analogy, if a casino gambler KNEW he would always have his stake, he'd keep making riskier and riskier bets. Until such time that the risk of the bet far outweighed the reward which is essentially where SVB found itself.

    I'm generally against moral hazard.

    Unsurprisingly Joey fucked this all up and took a non-issue and made it a huge issue. I'm sure his elite donors are appreciative though.

    Is there a doubt from anyone other than @HHusky this was done along partisan lines?
