I was thinking about this the other day in light if the recent Skynyrd hawt talk.

Long been a coin flip for me, but I lean Allman Bros for a few reasons:

1- Better run of studio albums + a live LP which is on the Mt Rushmore of live rock
2- Eat a Peach is more near and dear to me than any of the Skynyrd LPs
3- Duane Allman better than any of the axe men in Skynyrd

Have you no dignity, Sir? At long last, have you no dignity?

A Sophie's Choice if ever there was one. I therefore abstain.

    The cruelty is the point.

Skynyrd had peaked before Gaines joined.

Now enjoying a Nicaraguan Megilla. Surprisingly good for the price. True of many Nicaraguans.

At least Ortega can claim cigar quality as a feather in his otherwise ruinous cap.

Wish he'd fuck off to Cuba. Most Nics I've met are pretty good people and deserve better than that crusty old fuck.

    Great board choice, I know.

Probably but he could have gone on to be something bigger on his own

Cigar thread is too far gone. My laziness caused me to poast here, instead.

    And take my lashings.

We don't deal in hypotheticals here.

Duane also died in his prime but he had laid down some amazing shit before his crash and burn.

With Duane, no contest. He invented southern rock with this song. Good talk about this in the movie about Muscle shoals.

Here’s A very short mini documentary, so to speak, on Lynard Skynard.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AePnPCSFCfI

There’s more and better detailed documentaries out there on LS, including IF I LEAVE HERE TOMORROW:A FILM ABOUT LYNARD SKYNARD which can now catch on Netflix, Prime Video, etc, I think. Was airing on showtime a little while back is where I watched it I believe. Is a good documentary and watch.
