I've always followed recruiting from a distance... it's hard to get worked up over a 17 year old kid who has about a 25 percent chance of starting 2, 3, 4 years down the road.
Anyway my question is, do the big recruiting states (TX, CA, Floriduh) actually have more talent per capita than medium sized states like AZ, WA, CO etc.? Or do the big states just get all the hype because there's a large population and therefore there are a lot of high school football players?

Eight of the top nine states have an SEC team in their state. That's pretty incredible and not at all surprising.

All I know for sure is the fence no longer matters. Sark recruits globally due to the recent inventions of planes, phones and Facebook.

The SEC is OVERRATED. The NFL is EAST COAST BIASED. IF THOSE KIDS LIVED IN PAC12 STATES THEY'D ALL BE CHEERLEADERS.
