Thanks Taft!

Thanks Nacho!
But how many Pi Phi houses is his name circulating in?

Sounds like he’s looking at great options that put him further down the depth chart than he currently is. Makes sense.

Sounds like he figures if he’s not going to start might as well be in the sunshine with hot babesLawDawg1 said:Sounds like he’s looking at great options that put him further down the depth chart than he currently is. Makes sense.

Couch refi soon?

I still think he essentially gets "sent down to the minors" and ends up at Cal Poly. If he sucks there then a football career clearly isn't in the cards for him. If he blows up, DeBoer calls him back up to start next year
-
I have a hard time believing that every P5 and mid major school would bypass him and he'd fall all the way to Cal Poly. Unless of course he simply seeks out a guaranteed starting role.bananasnblondes said:I still think he essentially gets "sent down to the minors" and ends up at Cal Poly. It's not like he was demonstrably useless in his time here. He's still a former 5 star QB with three years to play three. Plenty of schools with excess scholarships will happily throw one his way and stick him in their open QB battle. -
When Cal Poly was first mentioned I assumed Huard had given up on a career as a QB and just wanted to have fun playing out his eligibility. It seemed premature. I also assume there is anlonnlist of P5 teams that would be happy to add him to the depth.GreenRiverGatorz said:

Maybe he just wants to play though. IDK. -
He’ll be back, he’s the starter next season why leave
Premature listing -
Why wouldn't you want to play? He would rather start someplace than stand on the sideline for 4yrs

He seems like a perfect fit for J. Smith as the successor to DJU.
-
From a 40 yo perspective, you go to cal poly and get a degree that prints money. For an 18/19/20 you go to ucf and do some fun things that you regret for the rest of your life.
-
5* QB is headed to Cal Poly.
No power 5 schools said "But he didn't have a senior year of high school. But he missed a year of development because of John Donovan" -
Might not be a bad move if they'll take him. Decent chance DJU struggles during the season or gets hurt and he gets a shot.46XiJCAB said:He seems like a perfect fit for J. Smith as the successor to DJU.

That would be incredibly bizarre to land at Cal Poly. Is there a Huard connection with Wulff?
There's gotta be at least a dozen p5 schools that would take a 5-star with limited opportunity. -
People can see the film. If you were the coach at Arizona, would you take him?Doogles said:That would be incredibly bizarre to land at Cal Poly. Is there a Huard connection with Wulff?

They just hired Huard's HS coach as their OC. I'm surprised Junior Alexander didn't end up there too.Doogles said:That would be incredibly bizarre to land at Cal Poly. Is there a Huard connection with Wulff?

Huard couldn’t beat out Morris for two years with two different staffs. That’s damning evidence. He was going to run behind Morris for a third straight year. Maybe, just maybe, Huard knows he’s not a D1 QB and thinks he can have fun and find success in 1AA. I wanted him to be great. I wanted him to be Kellen Moore but it seems obvious that he’s not. Good luck to him.
-
I invite any and all Coug and Duck fans to laugh their asses off at the career of Huard.
-
He's going for the playing time, and will portal again when he has some better film.
-
This is an engrish language version of what I was trying to get at. Perhaps he has realized he's not good enough, his ship has sailed, and just wants a place where he can win the job and enjoy the rest of his career.theknowledge said:Huard couldn’t beat out Morris for two years with two different staffs. Maybe it was a lack of interest from FBS programs that helped him realize it. Maybe the inability to pass DyMo is what did it. Maybe he's just honest with himself. -

Doesn't hurt that his old HS coach is the OC at Cal Poly.huskyhooligan said:He's going for the playing time, and will portal again when he has some better film.
I'm guessing Wulff will let them design an offense around him -
What D1 school could he get playing time with?
Exactly. -

Assuming Huard can finish out his degree in the next 12 months, Cal Poly gives him the option to play, get the reps he desperately needs, and then the ability to jump back into the portal.
What is the benefit for him staying at UW on the bench next year?
We all know UW will be back in the portal market next year for a QB for 2024
