Only 9% of all black SF public school students meet state proficiency standards
About 82% of Black students in SFUSD did not meet proficiency standards for English, compared with 46% across the district. Hispanic/Latino, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander and American Indian students also scored below the district benchmark.
Math scores showed an even greater disparity among racial and ethnic groups, with just 9% of Black students meeting the math proficiency standard. By comparison, 66% of Asian students and 64% of white students scored proficient in math in the 2021-22 school year.

Welcome to Biden's America

Black students are just as smart as white kids.RaceBannon said:Welcome to Biden's America

They are just as capable, if they buy-in and do their homework.
If you were a kid in public school today, being taught by a green-haired, tranny activist who cannot decide what sex or gender they are, would you buy in?
Maybe the black kids are the smartest ones after all.
Certainly smarter than progressive white parents. -
This is an indictment to anyone voting democrat. The dem solution to the systemic white institutional racism from the most liberal city in America that is reflected in the complete failure that is the SFUSD to educate not only black kids but almost everyone else is to raise taxes, just one more time, to hire more diversity administrators and increase teacher pay. This tried and true policy has been in effect since the 1960s and this is what we get.RaceBannon said:Welcome to Biden's and the dazzler's America
So total revenue in the fiscal year ended June 30, 2021 was $1,318,911,594. This is the latest financial statement. So, the June 30, 2022 financials have not been certified and issued as of today. Publicly traded companies have their annual audited financials issued within two months. As best as I could find out SFUSD has 51,790 FTE students. So, $1,318,911,594/51,790 is $25,467 per student. And that is not enough. Geezus. But trust them, the district is highly rated and just needs a bit more money.

time to remove proficiency standards. a relic of slavery imo

Wouldn't Murray tell us that there's likely another explanation for this?SFGbob said:The numbers for Oakland are even worse. We're still paying the price for those restrictive covenants in Pasadena during the 1940s according to City.

Partially, but a high school student in Nigeria is getting a better education. Look at how US universities work so hard to get African students into their schools to boost minority enrollment numbers. Barry being a case in point.creepycoug said:

Family structure, value placed on education, time spent studying, respect for elders, teachers and authority, there are all kinds of reasons for this.

Tough to keep your head in a book and speak basic English when you get called an Oreo cookie and get the snot beat out of you.SFGbob said:Family structure, value placed on education, time spent studying, respect for elders, teachers and authority, there are all kinds of reasons for this.

77% of all black kids are now born out of wedlock. What do you think happens to that number when you look at the black kids who live in Hunter's Point or the Fillmore public housing projects? Now go look at the number of Asian kids that are born out of wedlock. That's a big part of this problem and we don't even talk about it. Fucking Biden is out there today talking about racist insurance companies charging black people more for auto insurance and Mayor Pete is talking about racist roads.WestlinnDuck said:
