The GOP wants young folks today to get more per month than old folks today get. My social security is not being taken away. The GOP would actually insure it stays funded

I have spent some time in politics. The one thing I have never understood is why rats want to continue with the SS ponzi scheme. The math is a no brainer. Invest privately in the stock market, triple or quadruple the return over what SS provides now. Make everyone pay a portion, and the SS system is solvent.
I get it, assholes like mello and hh want to control the poor and count on them for votes every year, but our problems with SS could be eliminated. How un American can those assholes get? -
Because they know most Americans are economic illiterates. Run the numbers, if you invested $500 a month into the S&P 500 index fund over the last 40 years and reinvested all of your dividends and gains during that time you'd have close to a $6 million dollar retirement account.Bendintheriver said:I have spent some time in politics. The GOP should definitely make this a campaign platform for 2024. I imagine it would go exceedingly well. Thanks for proving his point
And thank the GOPe for being too gutless to fight to have people retire with a wad instead of a pittance. They could get three times as much.
Gosh you really care about people don't you
What is wrong about what he said
This thread is about how the democrats have lied for decades about social security and here you are -

Mellow knows that if people were allowed to invest the money they are currently forced to pay into SS, they would be independent and wealthy and would have no need to rely upon the government he loves so much. Lying about how the GOP is going to cut your Social Security every election would no longer be an option.RaceBannon said:

Additional validation the left has no interest in the poor outside of getting their votes.SFGbob said:

I'll get a fraction of the money I put in, but at least I'll get some of my money back. If you are 22 and starting and your contributions are going to pay my social security what do you think the 22 year old has to look forward to - Venezuela and freezing in the dark. I realize that our mythical MBA and morons like mello think the political strategy of lying to the population is the way to go and so far it has worked. Eventually, what can't go on forever, won't.MelloDawg said:

Amazes me how many people can be so easily bought off by a few measily grand a month when they could have had a tangible assest worth millions for the same price as their Social Security. Investing and compounding interest are like an indecipherable foreign language to them.WestlinnDuck said:

When our mythical MBA can't do basic math and sh*t, what about mello or JW? When the dazzler tells me that barry was the more fiscally responsible alternative then your world view is a belief in unicorn farts to power the economy.SFGbob said:
