Apparently black lives don't matter unless one is killed during a robbery

So, the DA wants a Grand Jury to validate his instinct, which is not to charge.
Yawn. -

The first 8 shots or defensible ... the last one not so much ... Will probably lead to manslaughter, if Perp was of different color, probably Not Guilty...WestlinnDuck said:Our hero was shot to death while robbing a restaurant while out on bond for some non-serious crimes. Geezus. Now, the Soros prosecutor has a serious crime to deal with.

Guess you really do need to defend everything -
Sure. DAs always take non-probable cause cases to the Grand Jury. Actually the Soros DAs do, but they aren't supposed to.HHusky said:So, the DA wants a Grand Jury to validate his instinct, which is not to charge.

The DA wants cover. Imagine anyone being shocked by that.
But if deadly force was justified in the first instance, can you really recommend he be charged when it's essentially all one event without any meaningful interruption?
I don't think he gets indicted. -
The DA has all the facts. This isn't an investigative grand jury. If he DA as the highest county legal official isn't competent enough to come to the conclusion that this was a clean shooting under Texas law, then why have a DA? So, a DA that doesn't think there is probable cause will be arguing before the grand jury that there is probable cause for a criminal indictment. That's justice in the dazzler's leftard world. I agree with your analysis, which is really the most common sense thing you have said in your entire posting history. Congrats. Now back to your usual drivel.HHusky said:

Most self defense law only protects you when you are under threat, anything after that would not be considered Self defense...in this case he knows the threat is neutralized (grabs the guys gun), then Fires another round...aka Murder/Manslaughter. Could he say he wasn't sure if the guy had another gun, yes, but I wouldn't want to have a jury decide if they believe me or not...HHusky said:

But when the deceased created the situation which inevitably leads to an emotional response, I think most jurors are going to have sympathy with the shooter. -
What was the cause of death? Bullets 1-8 or number 9. In Texas, he gets to testify he was still scared for his life and the other patrons. In that part of Texas, he walks as he should.YouKnowIt said:

Last story I saw was that police did not want him for any crime but just to interview him. So a HH style shitbag DA wants to charge him? Good luck with that. Guys waving guns threatening to shoot people during a robbery are fair game in any state.
-
After bullet 1-8 the guy could have rolled over and shot a few people (had he a real gun). Guns are no good unless you use them with deadly force. Bullet 9 was needed.WestlinnDuck said:What was the cause of death? Bullets 1-8 or number 9. In Texas, he gets to testify he was still scared for his life and the other patrons. Dazzler would have asked the thug if he could be of assistance so people could finish eating their tacos. He didn't shoot anyone for their money, did he?Sledog said:Last story I saw was that police did not want him for any crime but just to interview him. So a HH style shitbag DA wants to charge him? But why didn't he just shoot the gun out of his hand? I'm sure he was gentle giant
-
SO you didn't watch the video ... shots 1-4 are fine, Perp falls to ground gun flys away from him... pause in shots, Shots 5-8 are fired... Shooter walks over, grabs the Perp Gun (threat neutralized), shoots Perp in the head.SwisherSweetboy said:

I wouldn't want a jury to decide my fate in this if I was the shooter.

Stuff happens fast. Just don't rob people waving around a fake gun and you'll be OK.

Dude fucked around and found out. Justice served Texas style.
edit: You know how stupid you have to be to go into any establishment in Texas waving a gun? Half the good old boys in the state are armed. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting eleven dudes who are carrying legally. This is Darwin award shit. -
