"Like I tell the team now and like I tell our coaches, we're judged on one thing and that's winning and losing,'' Sarkisian said. "Are we better today than we were three years ago when we went 7-6 and beat Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl? Yeah, we're a better team. But until our record changes we're 7-6. I don't mind saying it.''
I thought he was the one who claimed they went 9-4.
So obviously he does mind saying it. Also 2010 defeated 7 teams who aren't D-1AA and two decent to good teams away from home.
That was probably his best team. He peaked in year two to date.
That's the worst part. The teams in 2009 and 2010 were just as good as the teams in 2011 and 2012. All of them had nice talent in spots, glaring holes at others, and received mediocre (sometimes terrible) coaching. None of the teams have overachieved, and the past two have underachieved. None of this is a sign of a good coach.
