He's made some huge plays for UW this year. Two years ago I was hoping he might get suddenly seniored but I now welcome him back.

Would have been a top 5 pick in the draft. Huge!bananasnblondes said: -
Where was he going to go? Drive for DoorDash? Kreist. He might be the worst player to ever announce he’s not going pro. I’m slightly disappointed he didn’t tweet his own announcement just for @YellowSnow’s enjoyment.

I actually thought he might just call it a career. I'm still hoping Asa does.EsophagealFeces said:Where was he going to go? Drive for DoorDash? Kreist. Fair point. Culp has great athleticism, he just has terrible football instincts. He should have been moved to DE years ago.theknowledge said:

Asa is smart and knows where he's supposed to be but he takes some really bad angles and although his diving one armed tackles work at times, at others he looks like he's trying to avoid a true collision. I'm just over it. I want him to be someone he's not and I'm tired of watching who he his.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

Culp is still fucking up wayyy too much. He needs to be pushed and not have so many fucking drops.
-
He's good in the run game and when we get him the ball in space on those RPOs

Culp had a lot of great blocks and took on a lot of DEs and won. He'll be featured a lot next year -
Culp, Moore, Cuevas, and Westover is a really good TE room.whatshouldicareabout said:

West over is good too. Adding a new guy.
Tes will be dope next year. -
It looks to me like Cuevas brings in something new to the TE position. He looks like he might be able to run routes downfield. Current TE rec game consist of dump offs and mis-direction. Pretty good chance the position is better in 2023.

If Asa didn’t have to tackle, then he be third team, honorable mention All American.theknowledge said:

Moore surprised me with his one catch. Don’t recall seeing him play, but looks like he may have an impact going forward.

Of the players to have issues with Culp is way down on the list. He has moments of fuckups but good moments and potential. I think with this staff he eventually puts it all together.backthepack said:

There's plenty of guys to portal to Montana State who don't have those last two qualities. -
Six years from now we will be watching Culp in the NFL saying, “Where was all this when he was at UW?”
-
I think Culp and Westover are NFL TE’s. I’m not kidding.TheHB said:Six years from now we will be watching Culp in the NFL saying, “Where was all this when he was at UW?”

They're good college tight ends but I'm not sure they have the athleticism to play in the NFL.RoadDawg55 said:I think Culp and Westover are NFL TE’s. I’m not kidding.

They have fine athleticism. Sample wasn't really a crazy athlete, or Otton.louism2wash said:

They can catch, block well, and get YAC. -
Throw Dissly in there, too. He's an injury machine but he's making a killing.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

When the TE is here I hope they are stand outs, blocking, catching the effing ball and YAC -
do not care one bit if they ever make it in the NFL - fuck the NFL -
I didn't add Dissly in there because he is actually an athletic freakTheHB said:

Point taken. At UW, though, he was basically one-dimensional the way he was used.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

Yup. Everything about the offense was one dimensionalTheHB said:

DeBoer runs the offense Pete thinks he was running -
Westover is 245, runs a 4.6-4.7, and has a 38+ vertical leap. He’s a very good athlete. Grubb described both Culp and Westover as “wildly athletic.” Since Westover is white and was a walk-on, some will never realize he’s a top athlete for a TE. Both are better than Darrell Daniels.louism2wash said:

We haven't made the joke about WTE and BTE positions in awhile but we are pretty stacked at both right now.

Besides, Hunter Bryant may have been one of the most athletic TEs at UW.
How's he doing these days?
