aTm is eying Grubb for open OC position.

Houston Chronicle : Texas A&M: Washington Huskies offensive coordinator a candidate.

It's pay walled. I haven't tried to sneak in yet to read it. The next article in my feed said they were looking at Luke Huard.
Not worried and not dooging but I'd think he's smarter than that if a HC position is what he wants. Underperforming as a coach at the most free spending program in the cuntry isn't a good look on the resume. I don't see how one or two years of extra salary are worth it.

We already fended this off. Grubb got a raise. -
Sounds like he got a second raise after Ass To Mouth went after him.Mad_Son said:

@46XiJCAB told me that no one even knows who Grubb is, so this has to be completely false.

They have way deeper pockets than UW. The raise isn't what's going to keep him.Mad_Son said:

Grubb isn't leaving DeBoer anytime soon

They overpay for a coaching staff just like Michigan State doeschuck said:

Leaving a proven winner (DeBoer) for a potentially sinking ship Jimbo is likely a risk Grubb doesn't want to take.
Grubb strikes me as wanting to learn from DeBoer at a Power 5 level for 3 seasons before taking a HC job at a Fresno State or possibly a lower level P5.
Also, it seems some big stuff is going on behind the scenes at UW in regards to NIL. We are big dicking programs like Oklahoma State, as we should, for proven starters.

Nor did I imply he would. I actually said he wouldn't.PostGameOrangeSlices said:Grubb isn't leaving DeBoer anytime soon
The point was that UW's OC us getting notice from big dollar programs. Not surprising, but still noteworthy. -
We get him for another 1-2 seasons before he gets hc job in the mountain west, or possibly a Cal/Indiana type of job.chuck said:

Leaving for that mess would be career suicide. That QB room is full of retard JAGs.

Exactly. Truth was that I chuckled at the idea. I think he's smarter than that.backthepack said:Leaving for that mess would be career suicide. That QB room is full of retard JAGs.

Yeah that was a good move as funny as it sounds. OTOH Kawasaki was at least partially responsible for Lake staying at UW when Petersen quit. He probably looks back on that, sacrificing some of his own status and $$ to retain Lake, as not such a smart idea.whatshouldicareabout said:

Grubb ain't leaving for a coordinator job. He knows and has said as much that he is on a great trajectory with DeBoer. He'll have his pick of G5 head coach positions next year and probably his choice of P5 jobs the season after. Why would he jeopardize that for a bit more money in a train wreck situation

Ear-Regardless, this is DeBoer's offense. If Grubb leaves I'm confident DeBoer can find somebody else to read the play sheet.

I’m old enough to remember several Fresno poasters who were sick of Grubb and glad he was gone

Those were some of the weakest sour grapes posts I've ever seen. I think two fresnecks showed up. They weren't very convincing.SonnyShackelford said:I’m old enough to remember several Fresno poasters who were sick of Grubb and glad he was gone

True. It doesn't seem like it, but A&M is one of the wealthiest schools in the country. Their endowment is almost 4x Washington's.chuck said:

And I would assume Jimbo is dead man walking. That's like signing up to get fired.Canadawg said:Grubb ain't leaving for a coordinator job. A&M source: "We just want to make Grubb say no"
-
This is not the year to jump with everyone coming back and it certainly isn’t to atm when the head coach is on thin ice.
If the offense kills it again next year I wouldn’t be surprised if he left after 23. But too much is lining up right now to have a big year on that side of the ball. -
Nothing like working for a HC that was just forced to relinquish his life long love of play calling. How do you say no?creepycoug said:
