Unstoppable on the block, and if challenged will knock you tf out…

He's likely the starter at one cb spot.
The other should be 100% open. -

It's going to be a regular thing in the transfer era, but why did he leave Oklahoma State in the first place?backthepack said:here's some all 22 clips

Powell has hit his ceiling which is terrible to worse. He needs to be a back upbananasnblondes said:He's likely the starter at one cb spot.

Okst had a worse defense then UW did this year. They should have a fairly high floor for their D at this point in Gundys time there so I could imagine there is some frustrations around the program

Their DC left this past season and went to Ohio State, and for some reason they tried to run the same defense he had been running there over the last few years - didn’t work well.Canadawg said:Okst had a worse defense then UW did this year. What’s nice with the defensive structure is that is allows for corners to play on the roof and rotate into a safety role at times, so this kid could probably fill in at that spot if we? need him to
(asa turner is still on the roster so we do)

Yeah if Powell is your cb#1 you have serious issues. I was never impressed with himNeGgaPlEaSe said:

Honestly reminds of when Trufant was a freshman. UW has more experienced player who also sucked. He displaced them. I can see the same happening were the two young corners come in and split starting reps at one spot opposite of Jabbar.BeerThirty said:

I felt like he was just as bad as Perryman but sucked in a different way. Perryman cinstantly got burned by guys. Powell would just let the guy catch the ball uncontested rather than making the effort to break up a passBeerThirty said:

Powell is a way better football player than Dom Hampton. I don’t hate him. He had some rough moments early in the year, got hurt, and played better when he returned. He also was decent in 2021. I have some hope for Powell still.

Perryman was at the top of my frustration mountain. There were times he pulled up lame 5 yards behind the wr and I would go off on how his injury was bullshit. Oh wellbananasnblondes said:

I don’t, and Hampton could have a break out year if they let him rush the QB and play to his talents. How does any offense stop UW edge players and Hampton at the same time.RoadDawg55 said:Powell is a way better football player than Dom Hampton. I don’t hate him. Hampton was a safety that was forced to play press man in the slot with limited help over the top all year. If he actually moves back to his spot, he might have a really good year.
-
He is not perfect, but he is the only db on the roster currently that can deliver a big hit. He is fast. He sucks with ball skills and probably awareness too, but they should absolutely play to his strengths which neither staff ever did.backthepack said:Hampton was a safety that was forced to play press man in the slot with limited help over the top all year.
