The transfer from OSU is almost a sure starter I would think.
One or two of the guys already here might actually be OK as sophomores. I doubt it though.
The JC transfer looks really good to me. I think he's candidate #1 to displace Powell. -
Trufant was the first freshman that I can remember coming in and looking great. I think one of these two if not both may be starting. Mainly because they are physical. Powell is not.

Powell looks pretty physical to me. Probably the best open-field tackler on the team.

Trufant was the tallest midget his freshman year. The other CB was Quentin Richardson. Trufant was average until his senior season. Trufant was the classic Husky case of good promising freshman year then slowly regressing to a fork in the road senior season where he chose wisely and worked hard enough to be a first rounder. To your point though you’re right that the middle was not very goodRoadDawg55 said:

He was coached by Meat Martin for three years. That is enough right there to understand why he stagnated at UW his sophomore and Junior years. Martin and the cast of clowns in Eugene are why I’m just not that worried about all the talent Oregon is getting. Klemm, Tosh, Junior, they just aren’t great coaches.JoeEDangerously said:
